Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Did I say something about old men? Lichtsteiner has made a difference

Am I being harsh in thinking Loris didn't even make him work for the finish? Looked like he had made his decision to get low way too early.

Juve playing all the football now.

If Juve score again this is surely over.

I'd love to stick the knife in but we're in 5th and going out of the CL too.

Was hoping Spurs would have two more games in the CL and maybe we'd catch them for 4th but thats unlikely now. :o

Allegri the master tactician, lull the opponent into a false sense of confidence.

WTF was Trippier whining at the linesman about? Dybala was yards onside.

It's mad how unlikable Spurs have become because of the constant diving and their manager's endorsement of it. Can't imagine people wanting them to lose a game like this two years ago, outside of Arsenal fans.

Spurs realising what it's like against the big boys in a knockout tie.

The next 20 minutes will say a lot about them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,546 ✭✭✭✭murpho999

Juve will be very hard to break down. They're very experienced.

They came from 2-0 down in the first leg. Odd comment

Spurs are pretty naive but fearless. Anything is possible

Shocker fans of other teams in the Champion League want Spurs to lose. Oh and the sun is hot

This is when it happens this last 15 odd minutes Alli doesn't get a legit pen and is booked for diving.

Was it Davies about 3 yards behind the rest of the defence for the Dybala goal? And whoever it was, they were that far behind the line for a while as well. Awful defending.

Bad night for english clubs, so far. Juventus winning here and Basle beating City. Spurs need to dig out a win here.

A goal down against a top side in last 20 mins of 2nd leg is a bigger test.

Not really. I think most people would rather play a Spurs side in the quarter-finals of the Champions League than Juventus.

And a top side who can defend. This isn't some PL outfit they are trying to defend.

Chiellini is a beast of a defender.

They got a warning too. It happened a few minutes earlier when higuain was at best narrowly offside and beautifully linked up with Costa . Looked level.

    Not in squeaky bum time.

The first leg was impressive, but this is the business end of the tie, when it's still tight and you have to get over the line.

It's what the likes of Juve and Madrid are generally clutch at. Spurs are finding that out. If they get out of this, it shows precisely how far Spurs have come.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,465 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

Chiellini is 33, people talk like he is 53 .

Very tough to break down Juve now, and I don't think we'll see any more goals. Bollox.

They have come a long way, they beat and drew with Real Madrid in the group stages, they are in the knockout stages of the Champion's league. They have achieved a lot this year.

There is no shame losing to a side that have been in two finals in the last three years and it doesn't say anything other than they are not up to beating the elite of Europe just yet.
