yes that's it Zero. If it's the one for ARs it should give you an extra 30 bullets. It totally changes the gun. You get the 5.56 in a side mission the 7.62 is a random drop.

I applied it to a high end m4, 60 bullets are quite handy for the smaller lads.

MK20 for the bigger lads, finally dumped my 6k shottie for a 12k double barrelled that goes in my pistol slot :)

Miss my double barrel in the pistol slot but rocking the exotic desert eagle for a while to see how it works

the problem with your secondary is it takes so much time to take out. I rarely use it and if I need to chances are I'm in a lot of trouble. I have the D50 but haven't worked out how to turn it exotic.

even if you never use it the holstered talents are worth it

I generally rock an Assault rifle or some form of fully automatic weapon as my main and my secondary is a sniper. Draw time for sniping isnt important really, so ya dont get caught on a weapon switch like you would with the likes of a shotgun by some sneaky flanking wanker :pac:

Hit 30 last night, and then spent about 10 minutes running around the White House looking for where to choose my specialisation. :o

After the slowly illuminating light bulb finally came on, I opend the map to head towards one of the stongholds. Oh look, I still have a few side missions to do, control points to lock down, some SHD tech to pick up, and the ENTIRETY of Judiciary Square to open up, unlock safe house and so forth. What do I do? Do I get into WT1 and finish off everything there, as I will have to do everything again anyway? Or persevere as is, until the map is a lovely SHD(:p) of green?

Specialisation wise, I'm thinking Sharpshooter as I like AR's and Snipers more than the LMG's, and the perks are geared towards that. Though, LMG's have been handy to take down one of those big sledgehammer bois in 1 mag.

Dark Zone was always meant to be the true end game.

If I wasn't playing Sekiro right now, that's where I'd be. DZ99 was a long road in the first game. I haven't actually heard many opinions on the new DZ. Plus there's conflict mode or whatever.

Much better off to do either of those than keep going in the open world.

Not really, the DZ is one mode of end-game, the original PvP, but it's only played by a subset of the playerbase and we all know the controversy behind it. End-game PvE is just as important, if you go by player numbers more so. But as stated above by Zyron it is following the norms and with more content (and a much more dynamic open world) than The Div1 I don't think it's as much of a problem.

I hit level 30 last night also... Specialisation?!?!? what?!?

Yeah but it doesn't exist right now. So PvP is the only meaningful choice for now.

Is State of the Game still happening? I thought it used to be Tuesdays.

Sharpshooter has some great perks, don't worry about leaving any missions or anything behind advance advance advance

Worth knowing that you can also unlock the other specializations and get the points by a little work around that people are using with team mates.

Marcostyle did a clip on it recently.

You can get specialisation points pretty handy by doing bounties. It can be a bit time consuming but you also get a shed load of cash.
Some of the challenging ones where you're out in the open are ridiculous. It's bad enough having to deal with the targets but you're more than likely to trigger random world events and end up in an Armageddon.

Is that the one that requires a second character? As Ozzyman would say "Yeah, Nah"

Currently about lvl 10 at the moment and just cant get into the game. Am only dipping in and out to be honest at the moment and need to give it a good go. Loved Div 1 so its not the game as it plays very well on PC and looks great.

    I am 48h in, GS 320ish and WT 2.

Right now I still love this game, but amount of: "that's bull****" really sky rocketed.
I know I said, that I like smart AI, but it's really bull****, that they are smart, but you are way more squishy then they are. So when you are forced to fight in tight environment, enemies just rush you and then you are just dead. It's very noticeable, when you switch world tiers. The start, before you get some decent gear, is extremely hard.

Went for sniper spec, as I liked the spec tree, but very soon realised that signature weapon is really crap. It's like something is wrong with it. I can land shots with normal sniper rifles no problem, but I had landed shots on enemies perfectly and it would still miss. Very weird.
So went for big feck off granade launchers. It's great. :D

I discovered a talent, that so far I only sow on knee pads. Can't remember it's name, but I think it was "Patient". What it does: regenerates armour after you spend 3 seconds in cover. Needs 7 blue perks, but now I can't play without it. It's just a must.

'Patience', pair it with 'Safeguard' on a backpack (+150% healing for 20s on kill) and you're a health-regen machine in cover. I got a nice loadout together last night with both, almost never have to manually heal anymore.

Does anybody know if i delete the game from my ps4, is my dude saved or will i have to restart?

    Think it needs redownload

Edit: on ps4 pro, the proper textures only load if i look up at the buildings then down

*cant get a matchmaking game with anyone

Edit 2: i.e i might load in to the theatre as i as usual, and the stair in front and the van outside are just a blurr

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,409 ✭✭✭✭gimli2112

I redownloaded the Division 1 several times and my character progress was always there. That info is held on the server side. I'm 99.999999% positive.

I read a reddit post yesterday where a guy lost a level 20 character, contacted Massive and they reinstated it.

As Gimli said, all your progress is saved server side, so a reinstall wont impede you. The texture issue is a known one. I get it on the OG PS4. A reinstall won't fix it (I don't think).

The true end game is whatever you enjoy doing, I personally hate most forms of PvP so the Dark Zone was never a fixture for me in TD1, nor is it here.

IMO the game hasn't launched with an endgame. It has launched with a beefy epilogue that had plenty plenty content, but the endgame itself has yet to arrive.

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,409 ✭✭✭✭gimli2112

yeah this is true I'm chomping at the bit for WT5.

I love the world they've created have to say, thoroughly enjoying it still. Really looking forward to concentrating on builds but happy out so far.

What's the big improvement in this over the first game? I'm 15 hours or so in and it seems practically the same. Is the end game where it shines over its predecessor? The campaign in this seems less involving than the last one if anything, gunplay is very satisfying though.

It is very much the same. Graphics grew on me more and more over time. The missions are more engaging imo, there's a lot more to do which has positive and negative features.
I played a lot over the weekend and at the end was a bit burned out but have recovered. It's not perfect but I love these kind of games with the gradual levelling up, every improvement in your character makes me a little happier. It's that gradual reward mechanic that hooks me.
Once you have everything and built your character(s) as you want the insanity goes away..........usually
