Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Galaxy salted caramel, I think. Or Wispa Gold. I'm also quite partial to a Crunchie.

This is too difficult. I like all the chocolate bars.

Kit Kat Chunky, Wispa (used to love the Wispa Mint in particular). But I have a sweet tooth so I'll eat almost anything chocolate!

If they didn't have the awful nut, they would be awesome. I always bite the bottom and throw away the nut, so good without.

I wonder why there is such a taste difference between Cadbury's and former Rowntree products, which were "Made in Ireland" and the current products which appear to be made somewhere else ?

Can't beat a wispa or a golden crisp

Snickers. Though they're too small now, so you really need the double.

Once upon a time Yorkie was the greatest chocolate bar known to man. Then the bastards went and ruined it.

It was so dense that you could have beaten a man unconscious with it!

    Cadbury tiffin or mint crisp

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,409 ✭✭✭✭gimli2112

Chocolate used to be so much nicer. Marathons pre-snicker days. They've probably took all types of crap out of the mix that was killing you but so much tastier.

The one constant through all the years, has been the Starbar.Ireland has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But the Starbar has marked the time.It reminds us of all that once was good, and that could be again

Yeah Aldi and Lidl have some lovely chocolate . You get quantity and quality at a decent price.

Anything from 10+ years ago when chocolate still tasted like chocolate and not the manky **** it is today.

Remember when creme eggs used to be delicious?

Anyway, the correct answer is anything with mint in it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,969 ✭✭✭billyhead

Aero bar in mint or just chocolate. pity theres not much content in them.

Snickers or Twix. Lion and Dime bars also pretty nice. Moro would be there too but they’re on the heavy side.

Pretty much whichever I can get my hands on at any given time.
Fry's chocolate cream for a change. Wispa or Aero mostly though

Lovely, but pricey. Unless you head to Dealz where they are 3 for €1.50. Can also get a 4 pack of Topic bars, lovely little blasts from the past.

Also used to be (might still be there) a south african food shop near Jervis, sold tons of african Cadburys stuff. Had Dreams (Cadburys white choc bars) and Top Decks  lived off those things as a kid: milk choc bottom with white choc top for the raised "bumps".
