Same days off for prolonged period, can it be changed?

    Hi,

    Say your days off were always Thur/Fri for a year, is their then a rule that you've built your life around them days then they cant be changed without your permission?

    Nope, they can definitely be changed unless it's in your contract that they can't, and the contract usually specifically says it can be changed.

    Are you sure theirs not some rule? European rule, heard their was? Though can't find it.

    There is custom and practice. Usually though this is disclaimed in your employment contract. You should be given adequate notice however.

    Once your given “reasonable notice” your schedule can be changed.

    In employment law this is deemed to be a month’s notice.

    Yes
    Rosters and schedules can be changed with one months notice. That’s accepted to be appropriate notice.
