Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Trousers Too Tight On Legs

I've got quite big thighs - and any time I buy trousers they always seem to be very tight around the top of my legs.

It gets quite uncomfortable after a while.

I'm thinking that a solution is to buy trousers that are too big so that the legs are comfortable and then just have the waist altered to my size (and the length alteted also if required).

    Is this my best bet?

Could it be the style of trousers also? You could look for a more relaxed fit that would have more room in the thigh area.

I have big thighs like yourself OP. I also have a narrow waist and skinny calves.

If I get something that is very relaxed on my thighs, then it's bunched up around my waist with a belt, and they look like flares on my claves.

If I get something that fits well on my waist, then it cuts off the circulation in my thighs :D

If by trousers you mean suit pants, then I would go down the route of getting them altered/tailored. It's worth it for the extra comfort and better feel & look.

I wear a lot of chinos, both for work and everyday wear, and I like Next's slim fit stretch chinos. The elastane gives my thighs a bit more breathing room!
