Ok I've got the pop rock band Flyte and the heavily catholic characters from Brideshead Revisited.

    Um....

Band has a single called light me up. And moon unit.

I'm thinking Rock, light and moon. But nothing there for Evelyn Waugh...

    Play ROCK

Difficult one this even though it shouldnt really be. Could be light or telescope. Then there is the calender which could be time or day. Going to play LIGHT

    Red word.

    Play passes

Wow, I was way off base on the last clue....

Edit : (after light came up red) ok now I'm really confused. Don't do that (deleted suggestion)

    Lufberry 2

    Blues need 2
    Reds need 3

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,485 ✭✭✭✭Banjo

Ok lufberry was an airman for whom the Lufbery Circle manoeuvre was named. Suggests air and circle.
There's also a company that makes watches, suggesting time.

And I can't see how that ties back to Flyte, in case the 2 was a hint that the 3rd word comes from the previous hint.

What to do what to do....

    Play CIRCLE

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,941 ✭✭✭osh

    Correct

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,485 ✭✭✭✭Banjo

Ok what if Flyte was the floating light bulb powered by air?

    That's 2 hits for air.

    Play AIR

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,093 ✭✭✭Guffy

    Correct

    Oh **** oh **** oh ****.

Ok. Gimme a minute, this is ride or die...

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,485 ✭✭✭✭Banjo

Ok. If you Google two code words long enough you'll always find something. Hence I found the book Flyte about a wizard who lives in a tower and loves torches.

    But....

Flyte make a clock that floats in the air. That's 2 hits for Time via Flyte and Lufberry.

See you in the final / Dole queue, lord Guffington

    Play TIME

    Blue word. Play passes

    Team kosh wins :)

Close one in the end! I was bricking it you'd get the last red word banjo!

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,941 ✭✭✭osh

    Assassin was dog.

Was going to say calendar for moon day and time but wasn't sure if you'd think of Chinese calendar and dog....

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,093 ✭✭✭Guffy

    Correct blues win

Banjo im so sorry. Flyte was such a ****e clue. Thought i was under pressure and tried to force it in the end and was last minute when i saw lufberry... couldn't get circle with anything until then. Torch was the last word... flyte-air light and torch (shines a light), like i said tried to force it. I saw rock but figured it was a pop band so you might skip it. Ugh

Great game guys. Thought I lost it on the last go. Light was obviously a word for the flyte clue.
