I got one of these calls because I was an old customer and they cold call them to get you back.

Top up by E20 for data and texts, then use E15 for calls, then E5 left over, its an old student deal from few years ago

Be prepared for hassle, I had so much messing with porting then getting the deal as it "doesn't exist"

But I think its worth it all as Vodafone is meant to be the best

Agreed. I'm on this last September but my God was there teething problems setting up. Working fine since though. Don't use the Vodafone app, the customer service reps are based in some far flung part of the world which makes it harder to resolve the issue.
Agree, spoke to a guy in a call centre in Egypt, nightmare, spoke to an American today, got some data off her,can any local VF shop help?or do u have to ring the call centre and hope someone has English as a first language, between my Cork accent and his take on English we were Mon a loser straight away, thinking seriously of going back to Tesco mobile, was on kinsale last night, service ****e,together today, same, and then s evening in rochestown fire again,in fact Tesco was as good in all 3 places previously

Try live chat, or email, or facebook or boards talk to?

ANYTHING not involving talking is worth a try for a great deal/service, but don't hold your breath, spoken or written they cant understand most of it

For those that have other services from Vodafone (fixed line broadband for example) have they said anything about this offer tying you into a new contract with the existing service?

    No,it's PAYG

    No,it's PAYG

Yeah, I know the offer is PAYG but has anyone who is solely PAYG with Vodafone been offered this deal?
The impression I've gotten from reading the thread is that this deal is being offered to those who already have a billed service from Vodafone and as such there may be some clause saying that accepting this deal might tie you into a new contract for the existing billed service.
Just something to be aware of, Vodafone are fairly stingy with their data, 15GB is a big chunk to give without some other future payback for them.

Their payback is having you on more of their services so less to competitors.

If it saves me which it does I'm happy.

I thank Tesco mobile though for changing the game as they brought in much better deals a few years ago which made most others follow.

I was with them and when o2 we're still here they were a good network but when Three took over it went downhill to be honest.

I was with Vodafone years ago and they were quite expensive also o2 were also.

Apologies if this was covered already but I didn’t see it on the thread...

Has anyone been able to get this who ticks the VF billed service requirement e.g. have VF home broadband but is already on VF PAYG?

    Or is it switchers only?

    They tend to call you.

Live chat doesn't have access only the loyalty team or sales team.

Rang them on 3 occasions over past few weeks and each time I was told I would have to go into a shop to TRY avail of a new deal, no guarantees I would, never made it to the shop.

After being a Vodafone customer for almost 15 years and an ex employee of 6 of those years I ported out to 3 for a week before I realized my mistake and ported back in. That was about a month ago. I rang last week and the lady said she could try change the plan for me but wasn't guaranteed. 3 are doing free sims again so I was thinking of porting back out for 4/5 days and calling the sales line to port back in with this plan. I know its alot of effort but I asked in my local Vodafone store, my previous competing store ( :P ) and they said that its an offer that doesn't come up on their system and have lost new sign ups to the sales line. I think people going into a vodafone store for this purpose are at nothing unfortunately.

Yeah I was on to them on the weekend and got the deal. Bit of a run around though. Rang sales and was told I needed to go to a store to get the sim card and then to ring back to activate the deal. I got the sim in a store and rang them only to be told the deal can only be done if sales post me the sim card. I said grand go ahead, so waiting on delivery of it today. Will update once I get it up and running.
