    Hi,

My question is, if I own a property abroad, but I got it as gifted from my parents, am I entitled to get a first time mortgage in  Ireland or not anymore?
If I'm not entitled and I would sell the property abroad, could I apply?

    Many thanks,
    Zsolt

    Hi there,

Thanks for getting in touch with us here.

Once you were gifted the property and didn't get a mortgage, you should be entitled to get a first time buyer mortgage. You can apply online here.

Thanks again and please let me know if I can help you with anything else.
    Darren.
