Any chance it will miss Dublin or be light?

Had a lovely snow shower just as the Ireland game finished. It's bitter cold out.

Still have some snow grains on the ground from earlier this afternoon. Some showers coming on shore for Dublin shortly will hopefully whiten the place up a bit.

No but one of the coldest days I have watched a parade in...absolutely bitter. Even left early as the kids were frozen ..all well warped up but the wind chill was penetrating only warming up now..

Not so much as a flake has fallen here today, though the wind chill is making it feel as cold as what it was a few weeks ago.

just had an update from home, so far it's quite pathetic, just some hail stones scattered on the ground.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,012 ✭✭✭Artane2002

Well it's not really meant to start until later tonight so in fairness anything now is a bonus.

Half decent shower incoming for north Dublin (?) in the next half hour.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,012 ✭✭✭Artane2002

Also the orange warning kicks in at 3am for the areas that are in it. The yellow warning was in effect since 12pm which is a bit early but whatever. Menacing clouds to my northeast but I'll wait and see what comes.

Embedded trough moving west into eastern Britain now, that will ripple through Ireland around midnight to 0300h ... has increased the wind gusts to 102 km/hr at Donna Nook on Lincs coast.

Trend would be for temps to drop to about -1 C across the Irish Sea, potential exists for heavy snow tonight. "You ain't seen nothing yet." applies here, this is about to go to another level.

When you say another level, Worse than a few weeks ago, about the same or not quite so bad in Dublin?
