Anybody know what works are being installed?

Wicklow County Council wishes to advise that road works will be in place from Tuesday 13th March on the R761 Greystones to Bray Road, adjacent to the Bray Golf Club, from 9.00 hours to 16.30 hours daily for the next 2 weeks. A traffic management system will be in operation for the duration of the works.

Some decent drainage wouldn't go amiss.

some serious potholes between the golf club and the roundabout, hopefully they're resurfacing.

They might want to look at the road surface on that roundabout as well. I've heard of quite a few instances of cars spinning out on it in wet conditions.

So far it looks like they're just repainting the road markings/ ghost island outside the golf club. They've also repainted some parts along the Southern Cross route.

It really is no more than a bucket of tarmac was fecked into the hole and stamped on with a welly... it will be back the same within weeks.

similar to the shoddy work on Mill Road in Greystones. WCC really are doing the minimum on road maintenance.

The complete road network around Greystones, Delgany, Kilcoole and Bray are a disgrace! I’ve seen better in the townships in South Africa!

Mill road is supposedly scheduled for resurfacing in the summer. They are putting in kerbs and drainage at the moment.

    From the Wicklow CC website

    https://www.wicklow.ie/Living/Your-Council/Municipal-Districts/Greystones/Roads
    Roads
Details of projects under the Greystones Municipal District Roads Programme.
    Current Road Works
    Mill Road, Greystones

Phase one of the road reinstatement works to install concrete kerbs along the sections of grass verge where there is no kerb and install road drainage along these sections as there is none at present. This work will take approximately four weeks. It is hoped that phase two of the works, i.e. the resurfacing, will happen later this summer.

    Seamount Drive, Newcastle

Replacement of existing old tarmac footpaths with new concrete footpaths, new road side kerb and introduction of verges with trees where possible. Work is expected to take approximately six weeks.

    Chapel Road, Greystones

The NTA has provided funding for the Chapel Road, Greystones Footpath Imprvement Scheme and works at this location are under way.
