tethering on eir

    I recently moved to eir from ID mobile.

    I only use tethering in work when I need to put work posts on Facebook because Facebook is blocked by the work WiFi.


    since moving, tethering to my laptop has stopped working.

    When you moved to eir did you change your handset?

    Can you also provide the make and model of the handset you're using.

    No didn't change handset.

    Its a Samsung A5

    When you enable your mobile hotspot on your phone, is your laptop picking up the connection but not allowing you on the internet or does it not detect this at all?

    Could you also try to tether another device from the phone as this will ruleout any issues with laptop also. You can use the guide from samsung linked below if you need any instructions to do this.
