Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Steak doesn't "bleed" though ha.

Yeah it's just been bet in to my head from a young age for burnt steak.

Bleeding probably wasn't the right term

Some people like it but ya it's unnecessary.

I don't find rare tasty either though as a good piece steak needs to be cooked and have the right texture especially if it's marbled with fat the fat needs to melt.

But ya the red stuff ha water and protein.

that’s only finishing it, give it a nice crisp texture on the outside without really effecting how well it’s done and extractsbthe juices for some sauce

Cooking it on the other hand...

Steak cooked on a pan, always..

Well that's how I saw it done as a youngster, and that's how I now do it when I cook it myself.

Just watched that earlier, was a really good watch, you’d miss how fierce that rivalry was.

Phil Neville gave me a few chuckles throughout.

Was on the other night on channel 5 it's a really good watch.

One of my favourite times as a United fan was them season's no other rivalry came close.

I had some lovely steak yesterday. The pan has to be red hot before even putting it near the thing. Aldi have some nice thick sirloin on offer at the moment, gave it a good bit of tenderising first and a couple of minutes on the pan. Yum.

Just after polishing off a nice sausage sandwich now. Mmmmmm.

Why would you ruin a steak by having salad on the plate!

I've been looking desperately for some proper United news this morning but I guess the press can't be bothered to make up some news. :(

The fact that the thread is pushing more towards becoming a Food Forum now shows how much news has been coming out about us :P

I was desperately browsing MEN site for something but they have nothing really, just the Fred news from yesterday ..that they don’t even try to hide their bias in their reporting.. this was on their live updates part, funny to be reading on a proper site.
    Pass the sickbag

BT Sport may resume normal service this evening when Real Madrid and Bayern Munich face each other, having mimicked LFCTV over the last 24 hours or so.

An alternative broadcaster on May 26 may be advisable.

A couple of things could/should have been a bit better but generally I freaking loved it.

You have no idea how much I both want to question you for hours and also run screaming from this thread for fear of your answers.

Booked tickets yesterday. Cinema was already half booked. Had to make sure it didn't conflict with the United game though.

Oh God, we have deals with Marvel and stuff, don't we? I imagine Sky will be falling over themselves to try and paint Wenger's alst game at OT as some Thanos style battle :P

All this talk about Thanos. Can't see us signing him to be honest.

I know people are saying our midfield is weak but other than good spells in Austria he failed to prove himself in the Bundesliga yet and will soon be 27.

Think Wien may have an option to resign him anyway and probably will.

Bangkok has his dad on speed dial... bangkok's brother is Thanos gardener.... he knew we'd be signing him 12 months ago and has been watching him continuously since then.....

He's got the skills of iniesta, battling quality of keane and general control of a kroos modric hybrid...

"Manchester United will have to fork out '£40m plus Luke Shaw' if they want to sign Danny Rose this summer"

Spurs are just taking the piss at this stage.

Sell Shaw, get a decent fee and buy a full back somewhere else. Rose can't even get back into the Spurs team these days.

So spurs won't pay their own... try to extort clubs of vastly inflated prices... try to buy players on the cheap at under asking prices... hmmmmmm

Yea rose is fast closing in on 30 i believe so good luck with £40m plus shaw for him

Shaw seems the opposite of what Spurs would want right now tbh. I can't see Poch wanting him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 46,381 ✭✭✭✭Mitch Connor

Wouldn't be mad on Rose, regardless of how the deal would be structured. Meh.

    Steak preference -

    Type: Ribeye
    Temp: Medium
    Method: BBQ
Sides: Pepper sauce or garlic butter

One thing I hate is food snobbery. There is no right or wrong way to eat anything, if it tastes good to you a certain way, then have at it. One thing I'd recommend, though, is a little soy sauce rubbed on before cooking. Helps the ground black pepper to stick and helps with juicyness I find.

Anything more than 25m for Rose would be crazy. Even 25m is pushing it.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 18,426 Mod ✭✭✭✭DM_7

Yeah, to be fair if you like it have it. But please don't take the meat out of the fridge and put it on the pan shortly after. It needs to be room temperature.

This goes for anything going on the pan.

Interesting contest this weekend with Wenger last game at OT/ v United / rivalry with Jose. Sanchez and Miki swap etc.

Yet with all that going on it doesn't feel like a huge match.
