Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Lingard's passing, or lack thereof sometimes, in the final third is annoying me.

Normally so reliable to at least attempt the right thing.

Himself and Lukaku causing so many breakdowns with poor control or passing.

Not many better LB's than Young this year. Ospina wasn't blocking that.

If lindelof has another level in him for next season then he's going to be a big player for us

Pogba was only praising Carrick this week for his coaching. Said Carra has been working with him lately on the 'pass it then burst your bollix to get into the box' approach (Pogba might have used different words though)

We've seen the benefit of it a few times so far, notably with a goal today and at least one of his goals v City.

  • I actually hope Valencia is replaced in the summer
He just consistently drives me nuts out wide

Lingard had been poor enough today
He twice picked the ball up with lukaku ahead of him and 2 on 2 and made a balls of it.

In both situations we should be at the very least testing the keeper.

Valencia has to be one of the most blunt instruments in the history of the game attacking wise. No wonder he gets so much room. Why bother defending against him when he will give the ball back to you?

It’s all a bit pedestrian really. Not quite in control.

They just need to pick the pace up with and without the ball.

Well.... They have, surely. Picked poor passes on some promising attracts too. Was a good cross leading to the goal but much like lingard his execution has been off a lot

Agree that Lingard hasn’t been good today, but Sanchez annoys me so much more. He’s just not an efficient footballer, which is ridiculous for a player with his talent.

The midfield three have been quite good again though.

Exactly. Both been off form today.

Would love to see martial get 30min up top

    Like bangkok a complete exaggeration
His hold up play numerous times has been very good

We've been a little slow to transition from defence to attack and the times we have been more direct we've not been accurate enough (jesse, valencia). The crowd rightfully groaned when herrera played it back into his own half when he received the ball after arsenal cleared a corner kick.

It's possible we run out comfortable winners here but we've got many more gears that we can go through.

A random bounce of the ball of the post is the difference between the teams at the moment.

Xhaka really should have been off too.

Quite enjoyed Souness losing it when talking about him for the goal.

He’s done some really good stuff and been sloppy at other times.

Hyperbole unfortunately for some is default.

Not a chance he should be taken off.

A lot of people will blame Herrera and Matic there but the real issue was Smallings first clearance. Easy ball coming into him, acres to try to pick out a man and he hoofs it straight back to them. He is not good enough on the ball.

We've been so dire today hopefully that'll wake em up

Ah jaysus that’s very harsh on Smalling!!

The hesitation between the midfield two sums up the teams problems not Smalling clearing a ball where he might have taken a touch in his box or passed it out.

The game is akin to a pre season friendly. No intensity at all.

Why kick it out? They didn't when Lukaku went down.

Watch it back. You keep getting rid of the ball like that, they will keep coming at you.

**** off Valencia kicking the ball out!!

We should be beating this Arsenal side comfortably. 55 minutes so far of this "can't be arsed" method we seem to adapt to every 2nd week.

I don’t need to watch it back. It was **** defending from the midfielders.

And Smalling. There were multiple mistakes there but it all started with a stupid clearance from a player who struggles with ball at feet.

We could do with Fellaini on now bit of height hopefully Lukaku only a knock Mkhitaryan on Young a lot

A 20 year old getting loads of a game time and people like Redknapp and Tyler willing them to agitate for a move. Then when we get a lad burning out late 20s like Rooney from too much game time as a youngster, they'll blame that as well.

    Rashfors is being managed well.
