Yep, cracking player, signed a six year contract last summer though IIRC. Probably wouldn’t take much to buy him though. Celtic wouldn’t be able to turn down the cash

A United source via The Star explains why Sanchez eats alone. He stays back for 30 minutes after training to practice free kicks. By the time he gets to the canteen, the other players are gone home.

More papers Sh1te, the s*n saying that Pogba and Jose aren't talking and Rui Faria acts as intermediary.
The mirror saying the club will sell him to find moves for Veratti, Kroos,Varane,Marquihnoss and Sandro.
    Some real fantasy writing there.

While it might be fantasty, it's a well trodden thing at this stage through Mourinhos career post Chelsea that Faria would act as the communication conduit when player and manager fall out.

And while typically it is the manager casting someone out in the cold, the reports indicate its Pogba ignoring the manager.

Call it fantasy all you like, too many negative reports emerging which indicates a fractured relationship, not like it wasn't obvious already.

Zlatan will always be remembered fondly by most Utd fans. Despite his advanced years we probably got about 90% of prime Zlatan which is truly amazing at his age.

I’ve read him mentioned in the same breath as Schweinstiger which is an insult to him as far as their Utd careers go. Couldn’t be more different.

Schweinstiger was there in name only, underperformed, got mysteriously injured late in the season only to make a full recovery for the major summer championship. We know where his priorities lay. An exciting signing at the time but untimely a poor one and a waste of time.

Zlatans brief time at Utd probably went better than any of us could have imagined. To be in such good shape and still have such a hunger for the game, despite all the honours he’s one, all the money he’s made is hugely admirable. He will be remembered for years to come as a Utd player whereas Schweinstiger will be forgotten about.

Pretty sure since I'm the only person that mentioned it, unless I missed others

and I mentioned it in reference to my own personal preference, for players I loved watching, and it being brilliant they ended up at United.
But like Schweinsteiger before him, will feel privileged and delighted to know a player I loved played for the club and I got to watch. Was just a bonus for me he scored a ****load of goals

Would be similar if we sign Kroos now in his prime, or when hes 35 and broken, I'll still love seeing a player I rate highly, follow and love, playing in a United shirt.

So fractured that after the liverpool game when José was giving an Interview to sky that he went up to José and gave him a serious display of “well ****ing done” boss.

Pogba has been cack since his injury and he needs to sort himself out

You know that has been reported by some pretty reliable journalists as the source of the latest spat? That the manager found it massively disrespectful and wasn't happy with it, and Pogba is basically "well **** you" over it.

Im very sceptical about the entire thing, but I don't think anyone should be pretending their relationship is fine, if thats what your getting at

Maybe, he should ask Rashford to stay back and practice with him. His frees are woeful.

Was having a look at some of the top teams squads around Europe, spotting a few names and players that I've liked or rated, or heard good things about, that may be tempted with a move. Also looking at the weak areas in our squad.

Julian Draxler is screaming at me. That would be a decent shout maybe to resolving the right sided attacking problem with a definitive quality player. Especially considering reports indicate Mourinho is going to outline Mata will have a diminished role from next year and while welcome to stay, is free to leave should he wish more first team football.

For the talk from the manager saying we arn't going to sign an attacker, I won't be surprised to see a right sided specialist come in. Or someone like Rashford or Martial to convert full time to that side, more likely Rashford.

    Is martial not gonna leave?

Draxler is an excellent player but plays primarily from LW or ACM. If an attacking player is bought it should be a proper RW/right sided attacker.Draxler isn't going to be the answer playing from the right.

The Umtiti thing stinks of him wanting a new contract and using us tbh. Everything is coming from his camp and has a "If Barca wont pay me what I want, I'm leaving" tone.

No interest in the umtiti links at all. Nothing of substance there imo

I don't think he will leave either, but Barca aren't in great shape for wages. They will struggle to raise anybody's wage for the next while.

Iirc umtiti is on less than Gomes and Alacer. They can easily afford to top him up a bit.
Their problem wage wise is largely Messi. His wage is just ridiculous and when one of the financial comptroller's pointed it out - well lio and his father ridiculed him in the media.

Barcelona, are in very slippy territory wage wise with their own financial creeds. However, I think the broader feeling is that outside of these they are in a position to cover them with their growing brand, sponsorships and revenue.

We do not need any front players.

Lukaku, Martial, Rashford, Sanchez...if that isn’t enough, what is? We need fullbacks, a centre-half, and a midfielder.

Also Barcelona defensive system with pique and busquets is heavily helping Umtiti. It's a lot easier for a centre back to look good in that system as opposed to say city or Liverpool.

Vermaleen looked equally as solid when umtiti was injured. That said, there's no denying umtiti is an excellent centre back.

Maybe you should quote the posts as the convo had moved on, really did seem like you were talking about Umtiti.

I’d prefer we went for Alderweireld for the 40m that’s being quoted this summer. Get Lukaku in his ear. I reckon he would thrive under Jose

Umtiti makes sense. I had high hopes for Phil Jones but it was not to be sadly, largely because of his injury issues. Smalling I like, but Lindelof is in the Fellaini camp for me...ship him out!

Barcelona have an experienced left back in Alba, and a younger replacement who is getting games in the form of Digne. But that won't get in the way of a good article!

No doubt written by the Star, Mirror or Metro. And a possibility of all three naming each-other as sources :pac: seen that before!

Bit of a shoulder shrug. He's been generally poor this season, recapturing a bit of form in the last number of months.

But I've long believed Eriksen to be the better player and the Totenham player I'd love to poach and have found Ali to be a bit overblown in terms of the praise he gets and think thats generally driven by the fact he is English.

When Totenham are mentioned it's always Kane and Ali, but it's Eriksen that makes that team tick.

I know we discussed Memphis before, but I'll jump in it again since I like him. He had another good game for Holland v Portugal the other day, on the score sheet and involved in the third. He's having a great time at Lyon, one of their key players in the push for CL football and has been doing great for international side too.

A lot of speculation someone will make a move for him this summer. We have a buy-back option but I don't see us activating it, despite the praise José put on him and how he said a return may be in the cards. He's back playing the way we wanted at United, strong on the ball, taking people on, lovely skills and vision. I'm in the minority here but I'd be interested in him having another go at it, most would say it was a failed experiment and no point going backwards, fair enough, but I love me a good underdog story.

Also his latest quotes would suggest we won't see him back, but you never know in football.
"I know how it works in football," he said. "I'm the one who gets all the punches. 'Memphis is crazy', 'Memphis does this...'

"I cannot be anyone else but Memphis. I tried that, and I was not happy with myself. Back in Manchester, I was not happy with myself.
"How can I be a great football player when you're not happy with yourself? I looked in the mirror and I was not happy, I was sad. Now I'm happy to be myself."

Also has he been spending some time with Zlatan? All this third person talking!

He just always had a massive ego, believing he had made it as one of the top players in the world. He forgot about the working hard and playing well on the pitch part, oh god, thinking back on some of the games he had for us, real stinkers.

Depending on figures could it be worth signing him for what ever the buy back is then selling him again for his current value (provided his current value exceeds the buy back value) or as a bartering chip to exchange to get a player we really need.
