Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wouldn't be surprised to see this as a defensive performance but hopefully less so now that KdB and Silva haven't started. For better or for worse Herrera needed to start today just to have legs in there, similar decision with Lingard as well, particularly to deal with KdB/Silva if they had started.

Interested to see Lingard and Pogba's roles in the team today and how they change throughout the match. Wouldn't have been surprised to see Jose play Pogba further forward than him but maybe now less so with city's "main" playmakers not starting and it freeing up our midfielders somewhat in terms of their defensive responsibilities. Disappointed to see Mata miss out again, anytime we've played well and had some resemblance of flowing football he's been involved. Not sure about Sanchez' role today either and what he can actually give in a game like today's based on his United form to date, happy to proven wrong and see him bag a couple but I think there's a more likely chance of him being isolated and completely anonymous.

EDIT: Scanned over that lineup on mobile way too fast it seems and only noted the one Silva :o Cheers Wonski

Btw, if that's City missing a load of their best players, then it shows how far behind them we truest are.

Take five equivalent players out of our first team (Lukaku, Pogba, Rashford, etc) and see if we could beat third, for instance....

If you factor in the 450 million net extra spend they have over united the last 10 years you have five 90million pound players that prob covers those 5 subs! :)

You have to laugh that both pundits on sky played for utd's arch rivals and especially Souness has a strong hatred for utd

    Where's the balance views?

Be gas to win with only 30% possession :D

    15 percent be deadly.

Remember when some pool fans threatened to quit sky sports cause they hired Gary Neville! Sky couldn’t have anymore anti united analysts if they tried!

Time for this all too frequently fragile and weak team (mentally) to stand up today.

City winning the title with us on the pitch isn't acceptable, so need to make sure its postponed for a while longer

Be looking for a big performance from Pogba today.
The blue hair is just another in a long line of side shows that comes with him. His social media performances are outdoing his on pitch performances for quite a while now.
It's one thing to enjoy larking about, but you need to do the business on the pitch, or you end up looking like the class clown.

I'd like to have seen Mata and Rashford in the line-up, but maybe the gameplan calls for something a bit more defensive.

It doesn't matter that City were trounced 3-0 only a few days ago or if some of their best players are out today - I won't blame Jose for not trying an 'Attack, attack, attack!' approach at the Ethiad.

Whatever City 11 take to the field, they do so with the knowledge that a win today against their rivals will see them officially win the title. I expect City to be well-up for this game. As well as the title aspect, Pep and his team will likely be looking for a response after that loss midweek.

I feel United could win it, but I don't think that City are as 'on the ropes' as others might perceive them to be.

He'd hardly want to dwell on his best player wanting away

NBCSN pundits adamant that Jose will not go for it today like Pool did earlier this week. Sad thing is they're probably not wrong

Ooh,yer man on NBCSN sticking the boot in on City. The best in the league this season but "not the greatest". "Sir Alex Ferguson was in charge of the greatest".

Smalling has no composure whatsoever to take the ball out from the back

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,948 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

    That was poor from bailly

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,225 ✭✭✭✭J. Marston

The chasm of passing ability and composure on the ball between the teams is amazing.

So many times in the opening 20 minutes when a United player's second touch is stretching for the ball.

Edit: That's enough of that. Not watching an hour long City celebration.

More interested in trying to foul Kompany than trying to mark him properly. Fooking useless.

Can’t pass can’t head can’t challenge, only good at pulling shirts! **** off

Pogba should be told this isn't a friendly. Sauntering around the pitch here.

It's story of his career at utd.

He's continuously tries to foul players at set pieces, instead of actually doing his job and marking them.

The guy needs to feck off in Summer

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 42,606 Mod ✭✭✭✭Lord TSC

Young showing why full backs are a nessessity in the summer.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,193 ✭✭✭✭Kerrydude1981

Smalling brushed a side again by Kompany

Kompany didnt even have to jump to head it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,137 ✭✭✭✭TheDoc

And here is the mental collapse. Pathetic

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,019 ✭✭✭✭adox

All that effort to contain them and they concede from a straight forward corner. Pathetic.

What the **** is the ref at as well? City being given free reign to foul.

I have no confidence in this group of 0layers getting back into this.

    Edit and there’s it is.

    Pathetic.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,924 ✭✭✭KH25

    Well that’s that.
