I see Rabiot hasn't signed a new contract at PSG either, it's due to expire next year.

I agree, I don't believe City will be as superior to everyone else next season and I expect us to be a lot better too. I do think we should be closer than we currently are to them in the league. What I do find annoying is the manner of the defeat to Sevilla in the Champions League. It was night and day how Liverpool approached and performed in their fixture against City compared to us against Sevilla.

I think part of the problem is our targets and the questionable ability of Woodward to get value for money. City have and spend more money then united so to suggest all united targets will cost more then if city were targeting similar players is inaccurate.

United need to be more clever with their signings. Look at Peps signings over the two years. Granted he has a better squad to start with, there is no Lukaku or Pogba signings. There hasn’t been even a Zlatan or Sanchez signing as far as I can tell (massive wages, top quality individuals). That’s not to say these players are not welcome but the focus on city has been on team, that’s not exactly the same way United’s transfers have been. The focus has been very much on making sure we get champions league first and sort out the team building as we go along.

I think this summer should be more about the 40-50 mil players required to strengthen the first team. A couple of relatively lower profile sighnings like vidic or even a carrick would be fine. We don’t need anymore superstars, we just need to get the most out of the ones we have but strengthen other areas.

United’s weakness in many regards has been looking like a bunch of individuals when they needed to dig in as a unit and work hard for each other. We need players who help the top players at the club get better and perform better.

If united got a quality CM, CB, RM and A quality full back, I’d be happy.

Think you're wrong on the bold part.. yes no attacking players because they had plenty of them already and if they needed some i'm sure they'd have no problem spending the money on them

And lets not forget they have spent a world record fee on a goalkeeper, world record fee's for a centre back at that time - Stones £50m and was it £/€60 for Laporte this winter..., world record fee's for full backs - Walker and Mendy £50m each and £30m on a back up in Danilo...

And lets not forget City were hopping that we got Sanchez, so that's a terrible claim that they haven't tried to sign individuals...

I wonder will all the pep lovers be up in arms about him saying he needs more money to compete to win champions league.

Couldn't give a sh1t about what others say but it's a real pain in the ass when pretend United fans slate Jose for saying stuff and failing and praise other managers on what they might achieve in the future and don't hold them to the same standard they seemingly hold their own manager.
