Just got the €25 pass. Plan to watch the Mayo and Cork games today so all I'll have to watch is 3/4 other games to make it pay. Think it's a no brainer tbh and really is a fantastic deal.

Just a pity Eir didnt do something similar. I've got my friends Vodafone TV details so I can watch eir on the app but would have liked to watch on telly. A small price to pay for a way round it I spose.

C'ship games will be €8 a pop, so ya it is a god deal in fairness

afaik the only games available to watch back will be those that were exclusively on GAAGO, ie games that were live on TV will not be available. So for instance i will be watching on GAAGOI the Mayo game tomorrow afternoon which is on at same time as Kerry V Galway (live on TV) but i wont be able to watch that later, at least i dont think i can, its really not very clear

I've bought it. I didn't realise there were so few league games on this year. I thought it was going to be unreal value altogether; that I'd get 6 Mayo games for €25, and then a whole lot more games as well.

Anyway, my question is - I see your point that if a game like the Kerry V Galway game is live on TV, then cannot watch it later i.e. cannot watch it on demand> But for the likes of Mayo versus Down, you can watch on demand.
Do you reckon we could watch the Kerry V Galway match live at 3, and then watch the Mayo game straight after - deferred coverage on demand. Kerry v Galway is on EIR, and I don't have access.

Didnt even think of the price going up. Yep, happy with it now. And cork game is on telly so will have to find another one to watch on gaago lol

Watch it on the internet browser.

I'm watching it on that now and it's perfect quality. No problem logging in etc.

I think the pass is fantastic value. Would have paid a fiver for the Dublin hurling match later. Instead I bought the pass and am watching Louth v Antrim now. So that's two games today. A tenner spent already if paying for individual games. Wexford Clare on it tomorrow in the hurling. And that's before you watch any of the games back. I'll probably have a look at the Mayo game at some stage

I have my battle station set up. Dublin v Laois on on screen, Limerick v Tipperary and Longford v Derry split screen on the other and Donegal v Tyrone on the TV

Round 2 done. Time to charge the phone for the last session of Waterford v Carlow and Fermanagh v Cavan in the football and Cork v Tipp in the Hurling. Great day so far.

Longford v Derry the only really poor game so far.

This pass for GAAGo was a slice of genius.

Agreed. Loved watching Antrim v Louth. Very exciting and some brilliant scores. Fantastic finish from Antrim. Never would have got that chance without the Gaa Go pass.

Same as that. She popped for a nap. Happy days.

My ancestral seat now v Cavan...

    Its been testy.

TG4 - GAA starts at 12.45 and finishes at 7.12 that's some very impressive coverage, highlights programme, 2 live games and then deferred coverage of another.

Why have RTE no coverage of Gaa today.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,221 ✭✭✭✭RMAOK

Why have RTE no coverage of Gaa today.

It might interfere with their 1970s film season :pac:

Seriously though, I think it's to do with the contract they signed with eir sports. They'd show some of the matches on a Saturday evening. Tg4, more or less, has a monopoly on Sunday league games AFAIK.

what game are rte showing Saturday evening does anyone know please? I see the programme listed on the website but no details

Limerick v Cork. Showing on the listing when I click into it.

"Joanne Cantwell is joined by Donal Óg Cusack and Shane Dowling for live coverage of Limerick v Cork from the LIT Gaelic Grounds in the Allianz Hurling League."

Also, it's the only game on at that time so would be the only one they could show.

Sky have announced their coverage. It all kicks off on June 26th with a football doubleheader Mayo vs Sligo/Kerry vs Clare. Their hurling starts a week later with a triple-header; Both Leinster SFs followed by Limerick vs Cork

Afraid not. It's a part of a hurling triple-header on July 3rd, along with Galway vs Dublin/Antrim & Kilkenny vs Wexford/Laois

A Sky Sports Subscription needed this year...wasn't the case last year. If you were a Sky customer in 2020 the GAA was free to air on Sky:confused:

Just had a look on Now TV website and I'm only seeing an option for a 6 month pass or a daily pass for Sky sports. Are they taking the fcuking p1ss?

Well they are offering 6 months of Sky Sports for 19.50pm.
So get it in early July and you still have it up to early January, so that gives you all your GAA and a load of soccer, F1, NFL etc etc in-between if that takes your fancy.

It's not that bad a deal for what you get.

Edit : Actually you just pay for the time you want, so you can get rid of it after a month or two if you wish.
