Northern Ireland pounds - where to exchange?

    I am in possession of a some Northern Ireland pound notes and I'm wondering where is it possible to exchange them into regular British pound sterling notes?

    Is it possible to do for free anywhere is Ireland?
    If not is it possible in northern Ireland?

    I don't have any bank account in northern Ireland or UK.

    You can use them anywhere in the UK, although acceptance won't be universal.

    If I have NI notes in England or Wales, I typically use them in a supermarket where I've never had any issue. Alternatively swap them in a bank or post office if there during business hours.

    I've never had any issue using NI notes anywhere in Scotland.
