    Hey All

    I bought a DVI-I splitter.
    https://www.adverts.ie/dvi-cables/dvi-i-dual-link-m-to-dvi-d-f-and-vga-f-splitter-cable/13213350
It splits out to a VGA an DVI-D connector.

I was expecting to be able to either Duplicate or Extend the Screen across 2 monitors.

How ever it's not working as I expected.
It will only display to VGA or DVI-D but not both.

The graphics card in the PC is an older one: Nividia Tesla C2050
    OS is windows 10

when I have both plugged in and use "Detect Monitors" it always displays to the VGA.

Cable is new and is working, Is it my graphics card that's not capable of DVI-D and VGA? Or is there some Windows setting I need to change?

    G

    Its in the listing
This DVI-I dual link (M) to DVI-D (F) and VGA (F) Splitter Cable will allow you to connect to either DVI or VGA.

A cable can't magically make one video signal into two, otherwise we would never buy graphics cards.

I thought DVI-I carried analog and digital signal?

And that spliting the signal was possible
