This is so obviously contrived, the researchers made sure they had all the objects for which they were asked.

    Every bloody week.

I never get this segment. Is it supposed to be entertaining?

    Nathan Carter's Wagon Wheel.

Actually it's Old Crow Medicine Show's Wagon Wheel.

They should throw in a curveball and say '10 seconds to find me some Nazi memorabilia'

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73,598 ✭✭✭✭Welsh Megaman

Not really Nathan Carter's Wagon Wheel.

I'm quite sure he didn't write it.

There's a place called Lordship in Louth?

    How?

Like, it's not up there with Muff in Donegal, but it's still weird.

Don't forget the poor buggers in the townland of Ray too in Donegal, although nowhere near Granny Bonner in Killygordon :(

Try Termonfeckin or Inch in Clare :D

In this day and age you'd think they could organise decent picture and sound.
No, that's what Darcy looks/sounds like in real life.

He better do porridge loving Ray.

Rosenstock has the swagger but he is not as good at impersonations as Oliver Callan

Bob Dylan wrote it but never recorded it. OCMS put their spin on it and released it.

I reckon the lads were pleased the homecoming was cancelled, a hangover doesn't go well with screaming kids.

But we must never forget Tommy Bowe singing Black Velvet Band last time, when no-body joined in.

    Legend..

Rosenstock's face is locked into a permanent "I'm a gas man" rictus, but the eyes - if you look close - are full of bewildered desperation.

How rosenstock has forged a career out of such limited talent is absolutely astonishing. As bad as he is there's enough eejits out there who enjoy him. He's as funny as AIDS.

He is still deeply ashamed of his doctor role in Glenroe

"Mario, why did you stop being funny in 1997 and how are you still making a living doing the same shtick over and over again?"

Except Dustin chose another bird in the company of Glenda Gilson :D
He better do porridge loving Ray.

He had to get that in, no doubt will finish it off with him too, i hope ;)

Yes. Sounds like a Jewish stock cube

Ray seamlessly sets Mario up for the next impersonation.

    Seamless.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,420 ✭✭✭✭sligojoek

    Except you.

    Nice one.

    Rosenstock in funny joke shock.

Well I suppose he'd eventually have one.

I love his impression of Paul Kimmage. It always make me laugh.

When he doesn't have the accuracy, he goes for the extra loud lampooning

oh I know comrade Mary too

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,444 ✭✭✭✭Skid X

His Mary Lou McDonald is very similar to his Miriam O'Callaghan

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,716 ✭✭✭✭Ally Dick

Gerry Adams - his best impersonation in the cannon

Especially when Fidelma liked Miley, but the doc knew best to give her a medical in the hay :P

First time I’ve endured more than a minute of this Rosenbug fellow.
    Vile

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,700 ✭✭✭✭Arghus

In fairness, his Gerry Adams is pretty accurate.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,444 ✭✭✭✭Skid X

Mario doesn't have the material or the character range to do an entertaining full live show.

Go and see Foil, Arms and Hog instead. They are brilliant live.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,420 ✭✭✭✭sligojoek

The whole thing is so formulaic. Each impression is in the order Ray has on his flashcards. He should be let flow at his own pace.
