Rental Income - Capital Expenses

    Hi,

    I have not been on boards for a while. My query is.

    I own a 3 bed semi detached house. I will be renting it for the year. I bought a lawmower for the property.

    Is a lawnmower a capital expense? I know for example furniture & washing machines are a capital expense where you depreciate over 8 years at 12.5%.

    Some might know the answer off hand.
