    YAAWWWNNNN

Need to wake up properly not this zombie stuff. Eyes want to close again...

Last night I got out a whole new bag of wool and it is scattered over the bed as I tend to a feeding frenzy where yarn is concerned..

Happy to have so much given ...

    KNICKERS? lol!

Mine was all handwork. Did it for 12 years and could write a book about it!
Hats, gloves, scarves, baby clothes, toys, egg cosies, tea cosies... home made jams, rosaries, sometimes baking. Every cent to feed the little ones my extended family care for overseas. Used to tell folk I could not do that work, BUT I CAN KNIT!

( Just heard the minibus on its way to the pier. we have lift off..) ;)

Ferry will now be approaching the island on its way back.... Will take them about another half hour to unload, settle the boat down for the night.. come up the lane...

An e-vite landed this am, from our sister organisation in the far east, inviting me to their fundraiser.
Its an outdoor picnic(as we Irish not familiar with outdoors:rolleyes:) where the menu is own made chips sandwiches, using imported crisps, local bread and Club/Fanta orange imported from "China".

I feel some of the NI staff there may have influenced this a bit.:):):)

A five year old arrived with a colourful picture of a part of our garden that she painted at school. It's a section she calls The Secret Garden or, as the picture said, "the seerit gardun".

Graces , keep ringing the guards , they might be able to get someone , even the ferry men , to go check on you and hopefully scare or take him back to the mainland .

sokay; they know and will get her when they can and trhey will have by now calld the ferryman who for some reason got the creep to come here

this creature is not an islander .. the noise outside will have been an islander checking the delivery was inside. probably the ferry man . noone came to the door so they are respecting that and te creep will not now dare make trouble any more

You sound like Mrs S: new wool = new energy, new projects and extra smiles. I don't get it myself but I'm the same with new fishing gear, I suppose.

I hadnt knit for about 20 years and then only very basic . I got the Knitting for Dummies and found it great ! Also watched loads of you tube videos and started with very plain cardis . Now I have confidence I play around with patterns and incorporate bits from different patterns . Keep at it !' I get requests all the time now for baby knits

I was feeling really drained and run down after work today but I’m TH that a cheesy dinner, chocolate and a couple of hours singing at choir practice have cheered me right up!

Sometimes charity shops have yarn to sell? Springwools in Dublin bless our work ; they keep a big box in the shop and collect oddments and have a iist of charities they support, And I mean a BIG BOX. I could sleep in it.. All kinds of unusual and expensive yarns...
