Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Some God has invented a chat to Daidí na Nollag app! The not-even-two-year-old wanted me to read him yet another story and he in the cliabhán tonight. I took out my phone and rang Santa and had a big chat with him. Himself got a bit worried and pretended to fall asleep, and then "woke up" giggling for another story.

Out with a Google search and, yes, it quickly transpires there's an app where Santa appears on video to tell the rogueens to get to bed or else! Brilliant. It got even better. You can put the toddler's name in, and its phonetic spelling in the 'Pronunciation' box, and then give the reason you want Santa to make a video for him - e.g. won't go to sleep. Now, the personalised name & reason came at a fee so I didn't do them but I got a great, clear video of Santa and his head elf next to him warning the little gasúr that he has to go to sleep now or else. Within 3 minutes of watching Santa speak to him through the cot bars the worried little leanbh was ina chodladh. Genius!

    Message from Santa app

He was a good Santa in fairness to him, with an old, husky Coca Cola Santa accent on him. But the Irish name came out shocking, like some of those Irish placenames on the Google Maps gps accent, until I spelt it phonetically. It's a great shock to the kids.

I know there's about four euro under the driver's seat in my car. Emergency money for chocolate.

When you type a time into WhatsApp like say see ya in the train station at 7:00 there is an emoji for a clock

I just assumed it was a standard emoji but only today did I realize it actually shows the time you typed

TH’d at the clever little feature and I also realized I’m blind !!

Girl dog has been very fussy about her food since she got sick, now that she's eating again, she is refusing the special food she should have for her condition.
tldr: girl dog willingly ate the therapy food enthusiastically from the tin today! all digets crossed she keeps that up.

A random overheard conversation today...a guy telling how his little fellow broached the topic of the elf on the shelf, 'that's you dad isn't it, and when he doesn't move, it's because you forgot.' He admitted it was, on both counts.

The next question of course was about Santa.
The dad said 'if you believe in him, he is real, and I believe in him.'

And the little fellow was happy. Aww.

Rehearsals were cancelled tonight. The actual relief. I had been dreading it all day, felt sick and was shaking. Horrible feeling. Now I can relax though so I'm happy.

A super TH, my boyfriend became an uncle again on Monday. We went to meet the new baby and she fell asleep on my shoulder. I'm in love!

Did a job interview today. Was over in 35 minutes which is blazing fast. I’ve done some in the past that lasted 90 minutes and I’d leave sweating and exhausted!!

I can talk and talk for 25 minutes non stop about my CV but they stopped me 10 minutes in and said they could see my experience and didn’t need to go through it all and they were happy

Few more easy questions and was out the door.

I’m either spectacularly amazing or spectacularly terrible and they didn’t want to waste time on me :p

TH’d I had a gluewhein in the square outsiden afterwards :)

Starting to win a diagremeent over a major change I have been pushing in work over the past few months this project has been on going fíf nearly 7 months and it's getting there.

It's going to save up to 300k over a few years for our budget.

But knowing the company I work there will be ups and downs like the stock market but I love the fight

Just poured myself the biggest glass of wine. I’ve nowhere to be for the next few days only chilling at home with family and some nights out with friends who are home for Christmas. Nothing major to report happiness wise but I feel content. I wouldn’t usually be a massive fan of this time of year but so far so good.
