Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The pink cherry blossom trees all around my estate look especially nice today. I think that's what they're called. We use to call them confetti trees as kids!

I'm about 10 years late to the party but I've just discovered the joy of Podcasts.
I used to hate going for walks alone because I'd get bored of listening to music and would end up changing the song every 2 minutes, meaning I spent half the walk distracted with my head in my phone.
I literally completely lost 2 hours last night listening to one, didn't even feel the time pass.
TH that I've finally found something I enjoy that helps keep me moving instead of being a couch potato. :pac:

Please please take care if you are walking on roads, however quiet, You NEED to be able to hear eg cars. There have been some tragedies.

They say 'two shorten the road' and Mrs S and I don't even notice the 5 or 6 km walk each day when we have each other for company. When Mrs S goes on her own she uses her IPod and says it takes the chore from the walk. Do what helps the walk pass for you. The total benefits for brisk walking are immense.

TH today was memories and having a baby in the house - and the super sunshine.

I wouldn't mind, but as I was typing I was thinking "I MUST type TH, NOT TA. NOT TA, TH!!!" Didn't work. Well, the TA could have been that I would have eaten a kilo of it, but common sense prevailed.

It gave me a start as I cannot post in TA... But I was sure ice cream was not a TA

TH that I have three flavours of ice-cream in the freezer and I'm going for it now and eating in the garden.
    Raspberry ripple, I think.

Life will be even shorter if I go for it!!

Still, it's almost dinner time... and the raisins before and the peach in a while would count as two of my five-a-day... ;)

I love how Grace has embraced Ireland and I love how the Irish Community generally rally around and help out. It just gives a little pleasant boost, - even with the mess the Country is, I think it's pretty much guaranteed that the rural homestead anyway dunno about City-folk, will always rally around the Community. It's warm and endearing.

Take some pictures because these moments can be fleeting, very precious, and they grow up too fast.

TH that I had a great day here with two of the younger grandchildren and meeting a teenage one for a coffee in town tomorrow morning to celebrate finishing his exams.

Just weighed myself for the first time in ages and I still weigh the same as I did six years ago, despite Mrs S worrying that I'd lost weight. It hasn't fluctuated by more than three pounds in the past six years. 12 stone on the button. I'm 6ft 1, so spot on.

My friend at work got roared at by one of the managers recently. This lady is visually and otherwise impaired, is a hard worker and would never raise her voice to anyone. She's finally made a formal complaint. I'm delighted she's done that for herself.

I bought it earlier - a kilo of rum and raisin, and half a kilo of peach sorbet. Now I've about 700g of the former, and 250 of the latter. I iz much ashamed.

Sound delish tho, I’d have eaten them too! Where did you get them, it's been years since I had a decent rum n raisin ice cream

I used to make sorbets in work, it's a good bit healthier than ice cream so don't feel so bad :o
