Cute!! Thought after 3 days of being snowed in, I get it!!!! You'd run out of things to do!!!

On a related note, still always make me laugh that a mate was born on 25 September.

He's in his 40s and still gets "we know your mum and dad had a happy Chrimbo!!!"

Decided not to attempt a day out tomorrow; exhausted after a very bad night and will take a day or three to recoup.. Making firm decisions is a happy..

Belting along tunelessly to Queen's Absolute Greatest CD while driving and remembering how as a child We are the Champions made me really sad as he sang " no time for losers". I've always been a sensitive soul, lol :)

My daughter dropped our magic tv remote into a bowl of cereal a few weeks ago, I put them in the hot press in rice and that didn't sort it out.
My son picked it up the other day, gave it a wiggle and it's started to work!

A fantastic almost full moon in a beautiful sky tonight.

    And a Blood Moon tomorrow.

Hearing a dawn chorus of chirping birds.

I work 7 AM to 7 Pm three days on and 3 off. I wake up at 5 AM to go for a quick walk around before leaving for work. I leave the window open at night to help with air circulation and heat in my house. So I wake up to the singing of my feathered friends out back. It's beautiful.

Not really trivial but happy I did it. Saw a young girl of perhaps 11 or 12 going in to a field near the house so she could get to a young calf. I got to her before she got too close to the calf, as this particular cow is quite aggressive when she has a small calf. Even the farmer avoided going in to her last week because she was being feisty. We watched the calf from the safety of the correct side of the gate.

    I can't recall when I last had a nap - years ago.

Watching out the window to see if the cloud will clear enough for the blood moon to be visible. It's a beautiful evening otherwise and all is well with the world of the S family.

Had a phone call from a relative on Achill inviting us over for the bank holiday weekend to sample some of the events there that we haven't been to in years. We can't go, as we've plans already with some of the family here, but it's lovely to be asked and wanted.

A young friend is staying with me for a couple of weeks, she was fascinated that I had put some small bottles of water in the freezer in the depts of the heat, I told her to take them out and we could drink them when they had defrosted. Fast forward two days and she takes them out of the body of the fridge and is startled to find some of them still have towers of ice in their middles.

*The things adults take for granted and how easy it is to amuse a youngster not used to such things.

This has upset fans for selling out, but I love hearing the first few notes of Sonic Youth's 'Teenage Riot' on the ad for Daisy perfume (I think). I first saw them play in Dun Laoghaire in the Top Hat, supported by a little known band called Nirvana. Lovely stuff!

A friend of mine who is first mate on a ship took this somewhere in the South Atlantic Ocean at 2:30am.
