Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Assuming you're a guy, check your local menswear shop, a lot of places rent funeral attire for reasonable money (€50-€60).

Unless you are immediate family, don't worry about what to wear. Once you're not wearing something outrageous, no-one will notice.

Agree totally. I have noticed that funeral attire has become more informal, even with immediate family.

Polished shoes, ironed trousers, shirt and clean and presentable jacket is fine unless you are family.

Apart from my own outfit (most of which I was never able to wear again because of the association), I have no recollection of what anyone wore to my father's funeral a few years ago. I am someone who always remembers clothes normally, so I'd say as long as you're fully dressed, anything is fine.

Doesn't have to be very formal, or black, but people usually go for plain and sober sort of look.

For gents, shirt and tie, or suit, or office wear, etc. Even a dark jumper and trousers is fine unless close family, (when a suit is usual)

Ladies normally pick plainer colours and a jacket over, something like that: nothing too cheery or partyish.

(i've been a member of a choir that sang at funerals, so I've got to see a lot of them)
