Lovely try from Conway, a piece of individual brilliance.

    Pro-14 2 vs Top-14 0.

Definitely up there possibly even with with the miracle match as one of Munsters greatest European results. They really have a knack of finding a way to win (cliche I know) when they really shouldn't. As a connacht fan it's something I'd love us to have more of. Great result

Well done Munster but sweet Jesus they don't make it easy on themselves!

Leinster man through and through but love to see all the Irish sides do well in Europe. Conway fantastic. O’Mahony future Ireland captain.

Munster away vs Racing or Clermont

Toulon only themselves to blame in that match. Munster offered nothing in attack until Conway's super try after Trin Duc's missed touch. He also missed a penalty to touch not long before that. Toulon threw that away. Some brainless stuff at times and butchered a few try opportunities.
Big congrats to Munster, they found a way...........again.

In fairness to Ashton, that was a classy interview in the circumstances. He has gone up in my estimation

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,018 ✭✭✭Bridge93

Two of three pro 14 teams through. Nearly got sick watching the last phases! Result is all that matters

But Jesus Toulon will be bristling going home and probably rightly so. Big big calls went against them

Given that twas Nige in charge...attacking team a point down...last play of the game...never gonna give a penalty to them.
    Reckon Copeland knew that.
    Well done Copeland!

Ashton's villain status in Ireland is one of the most undeserved in sports. He has always been extremely gracious and humble in interviews.

He's also extrwmely under appreciated as a player. His try scoring record is absolutely freakish.

  • Registered Users Posts: 686 ✭✭✭Flincher

Yep, it's an absolute lottery with Nige when the clock goes dead. He's a nightmare in that situation. We got the breaks today so I'll take them.

Super game Munster.. Great to get that lift after the bad press following the Ulster trial.

They played superbly.. congrats to one and all .

'he does have very punchable face'

You probably share that much in common

He should be paying for England tbh

    Well done Munster Rugby

It seems every big ERC match we win is up there with the miracle match. It's become a trope at this stage.
It was a seriously gutsy win though.

    Toulon
What a game, I'm still shaking all the way to the hotel.
The game swung their way.... our way...their way...and then our way again... fantastic and Conway's try... Fabulous!!!

Well it will always be a comparison given what was required on the day but I think comparing the starting XVs today it was seriously impressive to come out of that with a win

    Good one.

You're right though. Aside from the biting and the gouging, Ashton's a great lad.

That was an absolute cracker of a match and a brilliant win for Munster. I hope that wasn’t their final though.

That was a cracking game, huge congrats to you guys. Thomand looked amazing, really thought you were in trouble when it started but fantastic how the momentum swung. This Leinster household were off our feet cheering. Let’s hope we can join you tomorrow in the sf.

One of the greatest single handed try I've seen!!!!

The replay was fantastic (not to rub it in to Toulon) but you see isa and vermeulen getting up off the ground from a ruck watching in disbelief as Conway steps to the line, classic “wtf have the backs done” from the forward union.

    Toulon
POM won man of the match but Sam Arnold pushed him close. What a performance from the young centre. And JOD...
    Epic.

Sweetnam played brilliantly too. What a game. Every player is a legend

Toulon had an impressive collection of players and played exactly like that.

Munster played like a team. Far more cohesive, far more determined.

The reverse angle shows how poorly Toulon had covered that side of the pitch. Was a great finish though.

After the match Ashton and Zebo had a long chat seemed to be genuine respect for each other.
