Runners for running?

Hi, I recently took up running, but I'm finding it very hard on my knees. Can any one reconmend some running shoes? ( I'm a woman)

if you're getting into running it's worth for your first decent pair at least to go to a proper gear shop where you'd have a better chance of ending up with runners that suit you.
they will cost more than amazon / online probably but you should get an idea of what type of shoe suits you.
then when you have an idea of what you need (netural shoe or stability shoe) you can go from there and the next time but a similar runner yourself.
if you're really cold-blooded you could go to a shop, get the advice and just walk out and buy it elsewhere but that would be harsh.

Just to echo what glasso said, it's well worth going to a proper running shop to get an assessment of what will suit you best. Some of the Elverys Intersport shops do a free gait analysis - you run for a minute on a treadmill and they'll record your feet; this lets them work out whether you over- or under-pronate and what type of running shoe you'll need.

If you're registered with parkrun, your barcode gets you a 10% discount, too!

I'd recommend going to Amphibian King, they were excellent.
