Mercury 40hp, thinking of buying

    Hi guys,
    I'm thinking of buying an open 4.7m boat from UK
    It ticks all the boxes on what I need+ only 2 years old.

    Engine is a Mercury 40hp 4 stroke, 2 years old

    Mixed reviews on Mercury online, so please advise me, thanks.

    Buy and enjoy
    Buy and swap engine with my Funyak 390 (Yamaha 25hp)

    Run like Forest Gump.?


    It's your opinion on engine I'm really looking for.

    Mixed reviews on everything online. :D I have mercury"s that are 70 years old and still run like new it all depends on how they are looked after not the make and and model same with cars some like fords some Toyota. As Forrest would say. Life is like a box of chocolates you never know what you're gonna get :)
