Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Should be 1-1. Man City blessed.

    That's an absolutely shocking decision.

And the commentary still haven’t figured it out ffs.

Steve Mcmanaman on BT is soul destroying. Had to turn him off.

No added time even though Otamendi situation was at least a minute?

This kind of domination rarely lasts 90 minutes.

1-0 at HT is beyond miraculous.

Nope. Has to be two players between attacking player and goal line.

Keeper was off his line so only one player in front of Sane.

However it was onside because the pass was from Milner.

    Atrocious decision for the offside.

Maybe because Otamendi was just acting the bollocks?

    Liverpool are in the horrors.
Tactics are stupid, sitting back too much and inviting pressure.

I can only hope that Klopp has planned a bit of a rope-a-dope tactic. Sit back first half till the game slows down, then start pressing for a goal.

Honestly, 1-0 down at half time is a good result. Poxy to have it, but we have it none the less.

Amazed that Jesus didn't go screaming that he never touched it and it was Milner instead.

Even when the linesman gave it he was talking, thought he would be saying 'offside if it came off a Man City player.'

In the last 10 mins Liverpool managed to find a lot of space on the counter - if it stays 1-0 they'll keep up that presence on the counter and will eventually make it count.

Another goal for Man City and it probably becomes a real siege.

    City need aguero on.

Half way there. Referee has been awful but his biggest mistakes have pretty much cancelled each other out.

Poor argument there from you. Was still a long stoppage.

City deserved that second. Not to be though.

No he was offside if it was played by a city player.

Referees are screwing us big time. Two penalties and a red card not given on saturday, now a terrible offside call.

City had a good goal ruled offside last week and today and 2 good penalty shouts (and a Sterling dive).
    These things even out.

City worth the lead albeit with a foul to lead to the goal, evened out by the disallowed goal after Milners backpass!!!!

Calling someone a little ****? I got a warning a while back for calling Rooney by his well known cartoon character nickname. Which is worse?

It's not the tactics Klopp designed.

KDB as QB, with Silva and Sané overloading TAA on the left is destroying us as our midfield 3 cannot get to grips with it. Gini, in particular, is lost.

Sterling is a shocking embarrassment for his diving. Otamendi also a disgrace.

The second half will quickly become a race against the clock for City so if Liverpool keep it to 1-0 for a while it'll get interesting

Hoddle is 10x worse constantly repeating himself.

For all their possession and pressure city only created one clear cut chance and that was thanks to vvd **** up.

Sterling pathetic diving as soon as anyone comes near him.

No, you need two players playing you onside. Normally the goalkeeper counts a s one, but Karius was so too far advanced to count, so only one.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

I hope so. If that's the case, we're due a load of decisions.

Then usual ****ing uefa bull**** refereeing when it comes to city. To be fair i expected nothing else.

You'd imagine City will eventually break this Liverpool team down 2nd half unless Liverpool vastly improve

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

For all VARs faults, it would have taken 30secs to sort out the goal.

I'd have no complaints if it was 4 - 0, destroyed in every facet of the game the first 45 minutes.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,611 ✭✭✭✭ERG89

Fortunate it's 1-0. Took 44 minutes to put a succession of passes together. Looking grim.

Liverpool to score in 2nd half.....

  • Administrators Posts: 54,110 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

It is hard to see us holding out for another 45 minutes. I think realistically we need a goal.

We need to keep the ball, at the end of the half we started to pass it about and looked a bit better, the first 35/40 minutes we just hoofed it and we were useless. Salah and Firmino just chasing long balls.

I wonder if we'll find out what TAA was indicating to the ref.
