Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Low Carb v Low GI

For starters Im sure there is a large overlap here eat lots of greens avoid processed carbs etc. but while im reasonably well informed on low carb in general terms I not so much on foods from a GI perspective.
One example that came to mind is a rice substitute, the low carb approach would be to rice cauliflower whereas there are low GI grains like barley which fit the bill so while barley has a lot of carbs it doesn't cause an insulin spike. In taste terms I would certainly have a preference for a barley risotto over using cauliflower.

So as a general question would you have different outcomes on a low carb diet versus "don't eat foods that cause an insulin spike" diet?
