    Hi I recently added a payee and transferred money to the account but then discovered that I put the wrong payee name in. Now the question I have is does payee name matter once the IBAN is correct like will the transfer go through and if it doesn't will the money come back to my account?

    Just in case it makes a difference it was a BOI to AIB transfer

    Provided the IBAN and BIC are correct, there should be no problem with the transfer. We would advise correcting the payee name before making any other transfers just to avoid selecting the wrong payee from your list in the future.
