Hi,looking for opinions on buying a second hand ride on. Something around 17/18 hp with a 40” cut.
    3 or 4 year old.
    Thinking Husqavarna or Castlegarden.
    Lawn is completely flat.
    Anyone any ideas?

Have a castlegarden 13hp, with manual gears for 15 years and it’s been faultless.

Nice to have's from my reading on here were to go for hydrostatic, briggs or honda engine, options to mulch or collect (rear discharge) and go for as much horse power as you can depending on budget. I bought a new mower recently (Alpina 7102), its 40" deck, 18.5hp with briggs engine and is made by castelgarden. So far so good.

I would go for a zero turn. Have used them for 10 years. Best decision ever.
