Feel free to find some fakes and upload pics

    You're doing the former perfectly

That’s the second time you have taken offense and snapped back at someone after criticism of this thread.
The idea for starting this is great but it’s turned into just you alerting Homer of fakes. The rest of us just get to click on dead links.
Why don’t you post the pics since nobody else is getting to see them?

I’m not snapping back as you put it, I would appreciate someone posting pics to add to the thread

It's just frustration dude, we all want to point and laugh together!

It’s a lot of extra effort for anyone to download the picture from adverts, host it else where and then reupload again! Especially if on phone which most of us are 90% of the time!

    Screenshots? Just saying.

They take 2 seconds and no need for hosting sites if you just attach them.

I feel the frustration of others because sometimes they are gone in minutes! Haha

I actually had forgotten you could do that!

So used to hosting and linking.

You can archive the link here: https://archive.is
Then post the new link. Easiest way to do it imho.

How do you attach them on iPhone ?
Didn’t even jnow it could be done tbh

When you are writing a reply there is a button below the box to attach files, just select the relevant folder and away ya go.

Would be better if they were shown in the post rather than a link

You just need a slight tweak: after you attach the image to your post, you can then use the link to the image (because it's been uploaded already) and embed it as an image in the post - thats what I do (on a desktop admittedly) .

    Seems of certain vintage alright

Tried to upload a screenshot but forum said it was more than 1mb in size......that is a small photo limit!

  • Registered Users Posts: 65,405 ✭✭✭✭unkel
    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

I'm pretty sure the limit is 4Mb - but you're right, that's small. It's smaller than what most phone cameras create these days. A more reasonable limit would be 20Mb or so. Boards hasn't kept up with developments over recent years

You can easily scale down an image with the likes of Irfanview though. Wibbs will be forever grateful if a few of the people in here would take my advice on that. It will save him a lot of time :D

    Irfanview linky

iPhone is saving as .png which has a limit of 1mb! If it would make it a JPEG would be 4.
