I have reported 5 on adverts so far today!

Would it not be better to leave the ad up and report it to the guards? Someone selling 9 counterfeit watches would surely be a quick and easy sting operation.

I don't know. One of the ads linked had 9 different counterfeit watches available in the one ad. That seems like something that would be looked at. I guarantee someone like that would be into more than fake watches.

Looking at getting my hands on a Seiko 5 SNKL23 and as it's been discontinued, I had pretty much resigned myself to waiting until a second hand one popped up in good condition.

In the meantime, I've noticed some J1 models (Made in Japan which tend to come with an English/Arabic date wheel) appearing on eBay from Saudia Aarbia. Just curious whether you guys think this particular one is a fake or refurb of some description?

From reading up on them, it doesn't seem to exhibit any of the surface-level signs of being a fake but it also doesn't come with the premium these discontinued watches also seem to come with.

I did ask the seller why the ad states he shipped the box and watch separately and he said "I will ship together. I had box shortage but now fixed" so that doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

Something abiut that thomaskutty I don’t trust him at all, I had dealings with him before and he ended up trying to screw me over using a second profile to raise the price up so he went on the block list
He came back a while later and wanted to buy a watch on DoneDeal but only if I’d remove him from the block list on adverts, he revealed who he was when the deal was done

He seems odd. Pressure seller also if you make an offer.

I've dealt with him. He's genuine, but expect a lot of "best price?" messages. Pleasant chap in person though.
