That fake nomos is literally €7 delivered on fake sites. Donedeal is unreal for it, not just fakes, but ripping people off on them.

a fake is a fake, and should never be purchased even at 1 cent

Well, you can imagine the quality. If the second hand doesn't fall off it the first month you're doing well. The nomos is an easy design to manufacture and get a resemblance for cheap, I suppose that's why they're around. I think they're popular because they're so ridiculously cheap. No one knows what a nomos is outside watch circles so easy to get away with.

Honestly IMO, it's gonna be hard to tell without seeing the clasp open, front and back.

I don't know a whole lot about fake checking, esp on Seiko tho.

I would have thought a genuine bracelet would have the wet suit extension - most of the Seiko divers have quite an elaborate one.

Yeah that's what's throwing me off, looks genuine aside from the clasp. Solid end links and polished link divisions look legit.

Ideally yes, I think a dive bracelet without an extension feature or easy adjust is fairly pointless.

That said the bracelet posted looks to my eye like the srp773 style which has the extension quite well concealed, hence why I'd want to see it open.

    Like the pics here https://m.ebay.ie/itm/Seiko-Turtle-Bracelet-SRP773-SRP775-SRP777-SRP779-SRP787-SRP789-SRPA-SRPC-NEW-/273422358715?_mwBanner=1&_rdt=1

A quick Google of "Seiko Turtle Bracelet" throws up this article from Time and Tide Watches. The 2nd pic shows the side of the case, the clasp on the bracelet is blurred
but there is clearly a wet suit extension. Also, you can see that all the links on the bracelet have pin holes, not just the removable ones next to the clasp.

Didn't cop that, eagle eye, will avoid! I just checked the sellers feedback on Adverts and he has a history of selling fake Oris.

Feedback is very handy to get a feel of someone - often you'll find out if they're professional traders/flippers, random general public, fake sellers etc.

Not that professional traders are bad necessarily - they'll know their stuff and might be able to give an honest view of its condition vs. general public.

Definitely fake, no wet-suit extension, all links should be removable, end-links are not Seiko.

    I've sent you a PM

For the above one at least you would probably tell when the power reserve doesn't go up to 8 days (manual wind I imagine it would take a few hundred turns to get power reserve up to there).

Complications have been a place where fakes have generally been unable to replicate fully (not that a 200+ mainspring barrel is regarded as a complication :D) - I guess it should be "niche movement design" - they need to purchase their movements for 10-20 euro to sell a fake profitably for 200 - so no 8 day power reserves or perpetual calendars etc. :D

That’s the type of tat CAB seize during their raids and then claim it’s a €10k luxury watch

If the movement looks a bit rough it's probably a real Panerai

Blue screws don’t look the right shade either.

Under a loupe I am sure it would look terrible. Problem is to be sure you almost need a real one in hand to compare. A lot of the macros in Watchfinder’s videos show the big brands are not with out their problems, omegas with poor print, Rolex with badly applies lume etc.

Panerai have some of the best reps out there.
Under €300 for an improved version of this : https://forum.replica-watch.info/forum/panerai/303264-comparison-pam359-vsf-vs-gen

How much was the adverts guy looking for?

There's guys who specialise in leather straps for particular watches, if you wanted you could get one that looks identical
