    Just discovered I have been charged €30 for a card I don't use and has a zero balance. After paying this how do I make sure it's cancelled?

    To close a credit card, you can call 0818251251 or send a letter of request to:

    Account Closures Team,
    3rd Floor Operations Centre,
    Cabinteely,
    Dublin 18.

    Hate to break it to you Mrs but another €30 Government Stamp Duty will be due upon Closure

    I was thinking that the original 30 was for stamp duty.

    That was for last year. You need to pay this years if you close it
