City been very good but how come they never ever get booked for constant cynical challenges that break up counter attacks. Every game this season the same. Sane, danilo and fernandinho all had obvious bookings not given.

Hope we can do this again on tuesday.

You won't. Liverpool will not give you the time and space that United have.

The ref must be away with the fairies not given Sane one, that was a nasty tackle

Agreed. Liverpool are well organised and properly coached, something utd patently aren't this season. And Liverpool aren't carrying any passengers in their side. Pogba and Sanchez are a waste of two shirts.

Pogba playing like he's throwing the game

Another great City chance goes a begging.

It will be a crap game, United will try to keep it tight and take a draw, which they will probably get depending on whether the cowards in their team decide to turn up or not.

Yep. Pogba and his merry band of cowards are very much on the field today.

    Well worked goal

United a different team in this half. 2-1 and a fantastic bit of football for it.

Pogba has been superb so far. Deserved goal.

Great response from man u. Sterling might rue some of those chances in the first half.

    Oh my god!!!

Imagine, Paul Pogba is a good player when used as an attacking midfielder and not shoe-horned into an unnatural defensive role. How could anyone have possibly foreseen this?

Here we go. All those missed chances (and the blatant penalty not given) are going to come back to bite us on the arse.

Wonder what was said in the dressing room at HT.

Not many weaknesses in this man city side but for city fans...I wonder if they think their weak link is otamendi? Probably a bit harsh as he's been solid this season.

All the hack pieces and social media columns already prepared on Pogba are being hastily redrawn....

Pogba was great for those goals. Fair play.

Don’t think anyone ever said that. It’s more that Mourinho’s negative tactics were killing him.

Anyone know what the odds of United winning this were at HT?

"F*ck the boss, we're gonna play our way"

Utd have oodles of talent, with a sub-par manager & game plan

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

That’s got to rattle City mentally ahead of Tuesday. Great stuff :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

"F*ck the boss, we're gonna play our way"

Has the look of Ireland against France when the players just decided to go for it alright. United have a great squad full of genuinely fine attacking players, but they’re playing with the handbrake on 90% of the time.

A less defence minded and more modern manager would get so much more out of that group of players than Mourinho.

Well this is amusing, Poor old Pep can't rotate.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

Even if City take the lead against Liverpool on Tuesday now, this will be sitting at the back of their minds. Conceding five goals (and counting) in two games – couldn’t be happier with how this is going.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,362 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

City have been very sloppy in the second half. I think they may have switched off thinking the game was over.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,046 ✭✭✭Berserker

United seem to have taken their foot off the gas since the second goal. City need to win this, to win the league right? A draw isn't enough.

Gundogen looks a bit like Roger Federer.
