Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I can't believe this. 2-3. I think this will surpass JM's Chelsea win at Anfield a few years back when Liverpool were odds on for the title.

Rattled. Six goals in two games? When did that last happen to City?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,932 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

There weren't any deflections or weird bounces there, City just forgot to mark one of the biggest lads in the box.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,046 ✭✭✭Berserker

What odds on a City 4-3?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,037 ✭✭✭✭niallo27

United doing Liverpool a favour. I never thought I'd see it.

Smalling literally had 5 yards of space either side of him there. Amazing.

The city fans ole’ing in the first half look stupid now.

No chance on Tuesday for city now by the looks of things.

No, it won't. Not even close. Chelsea beating Liverpool effectively ended Liverpool's title challenge. Man City will still cruise to the title.

This is some capitulation by City. Should have been 5 or 6 nil up. Switched off at halftime thinking the game was over and trying to conserve their energy for Tuesday night. It's backfired in spectacular fashion.

    Absolutely incredible.

Sterling probably regretting his 3 terrible misses right about now.

City getting their top boys on.

Interesting to see how United continue on...like the last half hour or revert to type?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

It’s weird, but it’s almost as if going at Man City and not allowing them to dictate play and doing what they want makes them vulnerable or something?.

How are they doing Liverpool a favour? Would have thought that failure today would make them come out fighting on Tuesday.

Don’t think anyone ever said that. It’s more that Mourinho’s negative tactics were killing him.

You may as well put money on them winning the title for the laugh

More like Liverpool have done United a favour. City were already thinking of Tuesday night at halftime.

They'd be fighting regardless considering the stakes, rather they be tired when doing so. Still don't want United winning here as it's been nice being the only team to beat City in the league this season :pac:

They have a more physical match than a stroll in the park and use more energy.

Has to bring his big shots on such as De Brunye and Aguero.

Confidence rocked after being 2-0 up. Defence conceding three goals is not good for a defence. 6 in two games.

It's simple really as to how it helps Liverpool.

Now, this is a derby! Thought that was a penalty myself.

    That looked a pen!

    Ohhh it's all kicking off

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,081 ✭✭✭Fromvert

Thought it was a great tackle on first view. Waiting for the replay

Gets the ball but his foot rolls/bounces up off the ball after getting to it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

That's a shocker! Referee should be stood down for that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,932 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Okay that is such a penalty hahahaha Young has been insanely lucky.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

Stonewall penalty that. Young should be off. City unlucky there.

That was nasty and a red card and a penalty.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Should have been a penalty. Thank goodness this is a Premier League ref.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,358 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

Not only a penalty. It's a sending off.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,384 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

That's hilariously bad officiating. Jesus. A pen and possibly a red card too.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,937 ✭✭✭omega man

Shocking decision by ref it seems

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,500 ✭✭✭✭fullstop

Scummy tackle from young. That 2 pens should have been given against him today.

That's a penalty and a red card. Thats 2 penalties we've been cheated out of.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,413 ✭✭✭chupacabra

I could see that was a penalty on my low-bandwidth dodgy stream

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,295 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

The ref was so confident in his waving away of it

    Shockingly bad call.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Young has been so blessed in this game it’s actually ridiculous.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

Shocking from the ref to miss that.
