What plant is this?

    Hi,
    My friend has this plant in a bedroom.... any idea what it is? It is always looking healthy and often blooming.

    It's a christmas cactus.Think there's also another name for it,but I can't remember what it is.

    Let it more or less dry out from now through the summer - it can even go outside in summer - begin gradual watering in Autumn and it'll flower strongly for Christmas.

    The OP's pick is definity a Schlumbergia and probably tuncata but could also be bridgesii, but I think there are loads of hybrids.

    There are a lot of very similar cactus and the one that normally flowers at this time of year Easter Cactus (different leaf segments) is a Rhipsalidopsis.
