Skewer problem

Did the cliffs of Moher challenge on Saturday and had an unusual problem. The skewer on the rear wheel loosened itself 4 times with the skewer in the locked position. Only noticed when getting out of the saddle that the rear wheel started rubbing.

Stopped to tighten as I said 4 times and it still came loose.

    Anyone have something similar happen?

Wheelset is prime 38 disc carbon on a specialized roubaix disk

Buy a new one. There's no real adjustment/maintenance on Skewer's.

Is the thread worn away on the end with the nut?

Are they Prime skewers? I read about something similar with Prime skewers over on bikeradar...I think.

Wheels are brand new, same as skewers

Assuming you got them on CRC or Wiggle I'd contact them and get new ones from them. PErhaps different branded ones though

I will try some Mavic ones I have and see if it happens again
