Unbeaten at home all season and according to Sky we haven't conceded at home in over 8 hours.

I know records are made to be broken but I’m a little sad to see it go.

So long 5-0 v Chris Hughton.

Pretty much a perfect day, top 4 achieved, Lallana back on the pitch, Salah breaks the record, Solanke and Robertson get their first goals, Lovren scores, clean sheet, no injuries.

    Job done!

Two weeks to prepare for Kiev now.

Spurs score 5 from 6 shots on target.

I'd say if Schmeichel had started for Leicester today, we might of finished with the 3rd place trophy.

See. There was nothing to worry about. Not only did we beat Brighton but Chelsea lost.

Last week everyone assumed Chelsea would get six points. They got one!

Not over confidence. It's just looking at form and probability.

Great result and brilliant display. Tired eh?

What a season and there's still one game left to watch. Jesus Christ. Years of scutterball played under the badge. They're delusional. They're finished and they just don't know it.

    Is that right, yeah?

Very good season with it potentially being a fantastic one. Roll on two weeks!

38 conceded all season is the lowest since the Rafa days too....overall very pleasing, a few key additions in the summer and we'll be in great shape for next season.

Back to back CL qualification is great. You can really see the progress in the club, the players and the way we play. I don't think I can have one complaint about our signings from this season, and if Klopp keeps up this record it'll be amazing.

One huge game remaining and I can't bloody wait :pac:

Klopp with big praise for Lallana "I can not believe how we could do this all year without him"

Not bad for the worst defence in the league :pac:

So many positives to build on for next season. Big Virg bossing it from 11 August. Keita in front of him. Already can't wait for it.

What a great season it has been. Wasn't confident of top 4 going into the new season as I felt the our defensive issues weren't addressed but thankfully it was done in January. Van Dijk has made a monumental difference to this team. Klopp and the club deserve big props for landing him. Klopp has gotten the very best out of the players. Seeing lots of Chelsea and United players underperforming this season, who can you say was poor this season? This is down to world class management from Klopp.
There was gonna be a few bumps in the road as we were juggling CL games with the league and injuries catching up with us.
The progress this team has made since Klopp took over has been astonishing. The next step is to bolster the squad. To challenge for leagues you really need a deep squad of high quality players. Great time to follow Liverpool. Bring on the CL final!

Considering the bad press we got about the defence before Christmas

Flesh out this squad with a bit more quality in depth and we can be competing for the league and champions league every season

Conceded 38 this season, only the top 3 have less conceded, and spurs only 2 less. Improvement on early in the season for the r sure.

Watching Conte admit that Newcastle were much hungrier for the match today, would love to think that Rafa had the importance of the result for us in mind - well done to him for staying up and getting 10th, considering he had fcuk all money and all the nonsense going on with the club owners

The big ****ing brass ones on Herr Klopp, though. All and sundry bleating for any auld centre half (myself included), and he held out for the big guy, knowing he'd be perfect.

Perfect win to have good momentum going into the CK final.

Great for Solanke to get his goal. If it came earlier in the season I think he would have a decent goal per mins. Always get chances when he plays.

Yeah, got injured in his first game against Everton and missed two games. Was rested then for another match, I'm sure.

  • Registered Users Posts: 683 ✭✭✭PhuckHugh

Missed most of the match due to the hurling and having to walk the dog but I've read Liverpool wasted an amount of chances... messing up these chances against the also rans is one thing, but Jurgen will have his work cut out getting the team to be more clinical against the biggest team in club football. However, it's no coincidence that the team played much better today with some chat that Buvac might return.

Know he missed City shortly after he joined and Burnley was it? (Ragnar-ok and Nervol combined for the winner.

Just seems like he’s played a lot more than 13.

    Not really.

If Can is joining Juventus I doubt they are offering more in wages.

Maybe wants to play for a club where trophies is nearly guaranteed.
Always gave 100% for us when on the pitch. So I would not have an ill feeling towards him.

Nope - Man Utd and Arsenal fans.

Apparently Man Utd's points total would have been enough to win the title in some percentage of the Premier League seasons. I said there's no shame in reaching 80+ points and not winning the league - Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have also done it before and I had to give 2012 a special mention. I think Man City having reached 100 points hurts more and of course the referee played on until they scored!

The Arsenal fan is just lost - can't bitch about Wenger any more.

It's sweet having the Champions League Final to look forward to with no pressure of expectation, especially so when it drives those others mad with envy.
