    Jesus.

    In other news Daily Star with some stellar reporting:

    And according to Spanish news outlet El Gol Digital, who are well known for their outlandish transfer claims, United are waiting on Liverpool star Salah before making a final decision on Martial.

    You'd have to wonder if the man has actually seen Liverpool play since the European Cup Final in 1984.

    “Least equipped to reach the final” – Legend wants Liverpool in CL semi finals, out for revenge (Sport Witness)
    AS Roma legend Giuseppe Giannini has told the Italian media he hopes his former club are drawn against Liverpool in the next round of the Champions League.

    Last night Roma and Liverpool booked their places in the semi-finals of the competition.

    TMW have reported on comments Giannini made to Sky Italia when asked which club he wants Roma to get: “A challenge against Liverpool? I would like to play them because they are the least equipped to reach the final.

    “But I also understand that the revenge must come at the end, so it would be nice for Roma-Liverpool in the final.”

    It seems Giannini hasn’t forgiven Liverpool for winning the 1984 European Cup when the English club took on Roma at the Olympic stadium.

    The Italian didn’t play in the final in Rome and could only watch his teammates lose to Liverpool on penalties.

    It’s also likely Liverpool would prefer to meet Roma in the next round and avoid the possibility meeting either Bayern Munich or Real Madrid.

    The Premier League side would fancy their chances against the Serie A club, especially at Anfield.

    I suppose you have to be realistic about these things so I understand his confidence but he's a clown for mouthing off in public.

    I didn't give a bollox before but I hope now that we do draw them and he keeps mouthing off as Klopp and the team will eat that sh1t up.

    I see Bayern and Real avoiding each other in next round. Oh wait Uefa are corrupt and everyone sees them avoiding each other.
    Let me predict the draw we all know will happen
    Bayern V Liverpool
    Roma V Real

    Real will be giving Roma by Uefa . I think Real will ask for Roma.

    So what, I'd like the chance for Liverpool to play them and help with the past. In 2005 Liverpool beat them 2-1 at Anfield and got a 0-0 draw away.

    Here are the teams! :eek:
    Liverpool: Carson, Finnan, Carragher, Hyypia, Traore, Luis Garcia, Gerrard, Biscan, Riise, Le Tallec (Smicer 73), Baros (Nunez 66).
    Subs Not Used: Dudek, Alonso, Warnock, Welsh, Potter.

    Goals: Hyypia 10, Luis Garcia 25.

    Juventus: Buffon, Zebina (Montero 81), Cannavaro, Thuram, Zambrotta, Blasi (Pessotto 45), Emerson, Camoranesi, Nedved, Del Piero (Trezeguet 61), Ibrahimovic.
    Subs Not Used: Chimenti, Appiah, Olivera, Zalayeta.

    Goals: Cannavaro 63.

    Liverpool really were like paupers gate crashing a feast that season.

    A year or so ago Italy were getting more points in the champions and europa league and there were murmurs if it continued that the Premier league could lose a champions league spot, how is that now and if two Italian teams are in the semi finals how will that affect it (a question to those that know these things)?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,787 ✭✭✭✭Charlie19

    You're saying we beat Juve with the spine of the team being...

    Carson, Trarore, Biscan and Le Talec.

    With Nunez coming on for a half hour:eek:

    UEFA changed it so Four teams from Spain, Germany, England and Italy will be in the group stage

    The Big Four are far clear of the rest - they all get 4 by right and 5 if a side outside the Top 4 wins the CL so no issue there.

    the PL has five teams in it and they all made the knockout stages and two made the quaters and one has made the semi's so it won't matter much in the short term. Germany are having a terrible year outside of BM.

    PL is having it's best year in at least 5 with 19.071 so far.

    In fourteen hundred ninety-two
    Harry Kane sailed the ocean blue.

    He had three ships and left from Spain;
    He sailed through sunshine, wind and rain.

    He sailed by night; he sailed by day;
    He used the stars to find his way.

    He sailed through sunshine, wind and rain.

    He sailed by night; he sailed by day;

    April 11 his dream came true
    He got the goal he wasn’t due

    “Mine! Mine!” Harry cried
    His heart was filled with joyful pride

    But Harry Kane’s, the goal was not
    It was Eriksen’s, the cheeky sod

    I like to rhyme, said Harry Kane
    So Tottenham will support me in my pain.
    Eriksen's goal?
    It was in his hole
    I breathed on it with my open mouth
    Cos I function like a dying trout.
