Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It's the 31 goal curse, nobody can get past that mark, happened to Suarez at the end of 13/14 too.

    What the **** was that?

Always knew Salah was just a flash in the pan. Have to take him off ASAP with finishing like that.

That was almost more entertaining than if he'd scored, just for novelty's sake.

This is a myth, he missed a few chances in his first few games.

For Liverpool yeah, but he's historcially been a bit chaotic in an attacking sense throughout his career. He creates tonne, but misses a bunch too.

His finishing with us this year is just bonkers though, for sure.

Probably a hint of over confidence with Salah on that miss.

Had the goal at his mercy but tried to dink it in style like he's done lately instead of just burying it and ensuring the goal.

That was a superb cross from Moreno to be fair.

That was some ball from Albie!

Also, I think right centre back of a back three is Gomez's natural position. Same spot where he had the MoTM for England against Brazil.

Breathtaking skill again from Klavan there. That Ragnar Turn is really something to behold.

Bit like Azpilicueta, not built for a classic RB role, but also not really made as a CB in a back 4.

    Gomez stinking the place out.

This is very classic Stoke, they don't know what a foul is.

    Whynaldum? Whynothim.

Could do with Gini learning how to score again. We need someone to take the attacking mantle now that Ox is out.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,952 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Stupid of Gomez to dive in there, never getting it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,503 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Gomez has been taking attacking lessons from Clyne.

Trent making a promising run down the right hand side? Better stop, turn back and pass to a player with no ability instead.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,477 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

What the hell was Gomez doing diving in there? He was never going to make it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,503 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Great movement from Trent to get himself a scoring opportunity there.

Expected that to be Ings on the end of it, no idea how Trent got himself in there.

You could see that Diouf chance coming a mile off .

    That ball from Wijnaldum tho...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,395 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Trent should have hit that first time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,503 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Was anyone else just waiting for Moreno to hack Shaqiri down for the penalty there?

Could feel it coming. But he didn't Moreno himself

100%, slide tackle from the wrong side, no chance of getting the ball, Shaqiri down in a heap, it's classic Moreno.

Don't look too secure at the back today.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,503 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Solanke would probably have been a better choice to partner Salah up front today. Formation is much better suited to a power and pace combination in attack.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,404 ✭✭✭✭Vicxas

Bobbys been very quiet today so far

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,952 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

    That's why I don't rate Moreno as a wing option :p

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,731 ✭✭✭✭AndyBoBandy

Was sitting checking the score app and didn’t realise the game was on Sky Sports Mix which is free on the basic sky packages!

He has always been terrible in tight spaces around a crowded box. No idea where the notion has come from that he's productive offensively.

Energy and overlapping, sure. Production on the ball, nah.

I'm sick of early kick-offs, we just never win them.

Just had a look at the results:

    August:

    12:30

    1. Watford v Liverpool = 3-3 DRAW

    September:

    12:30

    2. Man City v Liverpool = 5-0 LOSS

    3. Liverpool v Man Utd = 0-0 - DRAW

    December -

    14:15

    4. Liverpool v Everton = 1-1 DRAW

    March

    12:30

    5. Man Utd - Liverpool 2-1 LOSS

    6. Crystal Palace v Liverpool - 1-2 WIN

    April

    7. Everton v Liverpool = 0-0 DRAW

    8. Liverpool v West Brom - 2-2 DRAW

    8 GAMES

    W=1 D=5 L=2

    POOR in fairness

That's gotta be a booking, there's no goalkeeper in the goal so that's a big scoring opportunity.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,503 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Yeah let’s not sign Butland then.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,404 ✭✭✭✭Vicxas

Yeah.... Glad we're not in for Butland

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,477 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

Danny Ings has zero "quick twitch" about him.

We really need to get another striker in this summer. Himself, Solanke, Sturridge and Origi are not reliable backups for Firmino.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,952 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Guess the ref just isn't going to show any cards today.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,295 ✭✭✭✭citytillidie

Just let Crouch win the headers out there and win the 2nd ball

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,503 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Just don’t see where the big chances are going to come from today. The Stoke defence won’t give Salah to run in behind them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,952 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Crouch inches off going right through Firmino's calf.

    Filthy tackle from Crouch.
