Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I presume every team feels this way this season, but the standard of refereeing this year really has been so consistently terrible.

Seems for this ref today in terms of Stoke fouls one that should be a Red will get the player booked one that is yellow is just a free and on that is a free there is no free

Pity, that was a great finish.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,952 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Funny the ref is quick to card their forwards but is petrified to reach for his pocket when their defenders commit bad fouls.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,405 ✭✭✭Sofa Spud

Shame - amazing angle by Ings to get it in...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,503 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Another blatant red card not given. Fcuking inept ref.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,477 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

Wtf was that from Diouf. He just swiped at him off the ball like.

    Senseless.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,395 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Pretty close to being level there. I'd say he might have got away with it on another day.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,295 ✭✭✭✭citytillidie

Hang on was that not like the Spurs Kane pen where the ball came off the defender, again that should be a red for kicking out

Danny Ings has zero "quick twitch" about him.

We really need to get another striker in this summer. Himself, Solanke, Sturridge and Origi are not reliable backups for Firmino.

    What does that actually mean?

He has ability, just needs a run in the team.

Very hard to get top quality back-ups who will be happy to sit on the bench as well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,952 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

    Salah shirt pulled again there.

No wonder there’s none of them going to the World Cup.

    Salah shirt pulled again there.

That happens all the time in every game.

No explosiveness. Average agility and balance. Makes the game look difficult and laboured more often than not.

He's really not at Liverpool's level, and that may be purely down to the unfortunate injuries he has had.

These haven't even been fatigue injuries like pulled muscles and whatnot, both Ox and Henderson injured from just freak impacts. Hendo looks okay though.

Some first touch by Gomez there.

TAA injured? Was pointing at his hip earlier and Jim Beglin is saying he's not moving comfortably at the moment.

A draw today & win v Brighton is enough yeah?

Yeah cos everyone is praying none of the player's pick up an injury

Whatever about winning. Really don't want to be losing this today. Would leave us possibly needing points from both our last two games.

Very frustrating so far, should be 2 up atleast.

Indeed, 75 pts almost sure to be enough considering GD

Don't think he's had a long enough run in the side to make a judgement on him.

But it's going to be very hard for any player to be as good as our regular front 3.

He's an old style centre forward with different attributes and talents than who he replaces.

In fairness he look good with the goal he had disallowed.

Terrible half, Salah's miss better not be the difference as there was no reason to put it wide. The whole things feels like what it is a makeshift and messy. No football coherence

There’s 45 minutes still to go. We will score in the 2nd half I have no doubt. This game will be won

Hmmm... pretty flat performance so far, which is not entirely unexpected, but a concern none the less and the prospect of more knocks ain't good. The selection made sense on paper, just feels like they could have done with a few more days in Melwood to make it gel. Distribution to the front three seems off a bit - TAA's accuracy hasn't been great and Gomez seemed to be slowing down the forward momentum a few times as he stopped to try to find the right pass - not a bad thing in itself rather than just boot it up the park, but it all feels a bit raw.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,308 ✭✭✭Pyjamarama

Its like people don't realise this is just what happens in 12.30 kick offs... they're the worst. Crowd is flat, team is flat. Hopefully we get a goal and then come to life a bit.

Isn't it to be expected with a semi final on their minds?

People always screaming for players to be rested and this is what you get.

Can't expect them to be at the same levels all the time.

    Still think we'll beat them.

Very flat. Stoke kicking lumps out of players, shocker.
Salah missed.....its been a while since we've seen him miss from that situation.
We should press on and sneak a 1 or 2 nil win.
    No injuries please.

Dropping those two points against West Brom last weekend looks even more annoying now. Would have been a handy cushion to have.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,523 ✭✭✭Pepp1989

Milner on for gomez if it's still level after 60'

For the Ings chance, Wijnaldum could have played the ball to Salah instead of Ings. Pieters was after slipping so Salah was in open space in front of the goal.
