Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Milner sent into orbit.

Did we expect anything better? Liverpool need to join a European Super League with 22 games a season and never bother with the likes of Stoke and WBA again.

Come here. That tackle there on Milner from Shawcross was reckless. You can't tackle like that?

A draw away to Chelsea enough for us for top 4 if we draw here? I think

This as it stands leave Liverpool 9 ahead with Chelsea 12 to play for.

Chelsea win today will leave it 6 & 9 so yea a draw at Chelsea will do

No point complaining as the ref will not give it

And that tackle on Milner was pretty reckless. Barely legal.

Definitely not penaltypool this season anyway. Had no luck at all with them.

It wasn't legal. Reckless is not legal. Guy wasn't in control at all.

Wow, doesn't need saying but the quality of referees in the league is woeful.

No English referee will be among the many serving at the World Cup.

This is a good thing for the World Cup.

keep the ball on the ground and try and be patient

Wonder if we can apply to join the Bundesliga where the referees have passable eyesight?

  • Registered Users Posts: 602 ✭✭✭CSWS101

Will be so glad to see Stoke get relegated, offer nothing to the league

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,363 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

This is dreadful. Why the incessant crosses and long balls?

play the ball on the ground in the box FFS....

Giving Chelsea half a chance now. Have to either avoid defeat at their place now or beat Brighton at home on the last day of the season. Tighter than it should have been.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,295 ✭✭✭✭citytillidie

Pieters again with a hands all over the attacker

Seriously, there has to be the equivalent of giving a penalty for persistent fouling like that, even if a once off instance is possibly harsh.

They still need to do the business later on.

Bare minimum result achieved which is grand. No injuries. Roll on Wednesday

2 pts from 6 is poor form against wba and stoke

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,405 ✭✭✭Sofa Spud

FFS - well, relax folks, it's all part of a cunning plan to give Roma a false sense of hope that they'll be able to play us off the park next week. Trust in Klopp....

We just need to beat Brighton at home; at most as they have to beat Swansea away and Huddersfield at home. I’m really relaxed about the situation.

Clean sheet, no injuries I think & we've bigger fish to fry :)
Not a bad day at the office.
Without Mane and with Mo not firing it's no surprise we didn't score really.

I won't miss Stoke and West Brom next season anyways good riddance. It was a poor performance and we clearly had both eyes on the second leg which I suppose is fair enough, still in our hands to finish top 4 so can't complain too much.
Joe gomez has regressed so much since his injury its very worrying, moreno although he didn't have a bad game can't hold a candle to Roberton. We were poor against West Brom and turned it on against Roma, I'm expecting the same Wednesday.

A draw will do today worst case scenario Chelsea win the next 3 including beating us and then it comes down to us having to beat Brighton.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,523 ✭✭✭Pepp1989

Can't afford to miss chances like Mo and trent did and still win. It happens. Still in a fine position.

That suit on Shay Given is scandalous, it wasn't trendy in the 1996 FA cup final, and its equally as hideous today.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,977 ✭✭✭HandsomeBob

Stunned that last peno shout wasn't given. Still.....pressure is on Chelsea to close the gap.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,363 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

Why do we keep going wide and crossing to Zouma's head.

Why is Pieters allowed to pull shirts?

Why is the Sky co-commentator so obviously pro-Stoke?

Why has Gomez turned to turd?

Why are Stoke allowed robust tackles, and nobody else is?

Why did I waste nearly 2 hours of my life with that?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,395 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Spurs have had more penalties in the league at Anfield this season than Liverpool have.

Those two losses came after international breaks. There really should be no 12:30 games after international breaks. Also one of them was when Liverpool were down to 10 men. It is still not great

Stunned? Really? Did you see the rest of the game?

Marriner had no interest in holding any Stoke defender to account for anything.

Thought the other shouts were soft before that but your man having the hand out like that....It's a stonewaller.
