    The border force is recruiting Border Force Officers and Assistant Officers in Northern Ireland. These jobs where previously mentioned by another user some time ago but then they where only internal vacancies for existing civil servants. These vacancies are now open to the general public. This would be a great opportunity for a lucky few to get involved in a unique law enforcement career pathway.
    Border Force is a law enforcement command within the Home Office. We secure the UK border by carrying out immigration and customs controls for people and goods entering the UK.

    You can find out more information about the Border Force here.

    Be aware only the assistant officer one is full time the others are .75 FTE. 6 months full tome shift working and 6 months part time.

    May be useful if you have other part tine paid commitments ðŸ˜

    For the officer roles I did the working;

    0.75 FTE (£23330 plus 34.63% shift allowance) gives a salary of just over £23.5k.

    So with CS Alpha pensions (5.45% personal contribution), NI contributions and Tax; monthly take home will be approx £1550. Obviously if you have a student loan it will affect it.

    The job indicates that the part time working season will be during off peak times which may benefit you reference holidays :).

    Re: Border Force Officers, my understanding was that role was only open to currently serving police officers (and soldiers), ruling most people posting here out of the running, to begin with. The x5 Assistant Officer posts are open to anyone with the minimum qualifications and a British passport number.

    The previous General Service Border Force campaign was, however this one is not limited to attested constables or member of the armed forces.
