Ladies and Gents, its time for the moment of truth...........The Final Results of the 2018 PW Boards Draft!

12 folks out of 20 votes and all results in the 3 big awards as well as the Slammy Awards will appear here over the course of the next few hours!

So before we crown a new champion for 2018, lets get the awrds rolling first with some Slammy Awards!!!

The first Slammy Award is for Angle of the year.

Its the second time in 3 years that Cesaro has claimed the prize having won it for me back in 2016 if my memory serves me correct. Maybe something to think about next year when drafting.

Wow, 4 times. Wasn't expecting it but it's a lovely surprise. Thank you to those who voted for me. I was convinced there would be a new winner this year. My top three for overall winner were Mr. Guappa, Necrominus and Spongey1975. I thought the standard was very high and would not have begrudged any player of the win.

We now go live to the offices of Monday Night Grappling where the recently fired GM William Regal is clearing out his desk.


Regal: It's a bloody disgrace after everything I've done for this promotion. There's no decency left in this world.

Suddenly there is a huge cheer from an adjoining room and people can be seen excitedly rushing down the corridors.

Regal: What the devil was that? You there, what's going on. Oh, it's you Ibushi. What on earth is going on?

Ibushi: Number one! Grapplemania! Draft!

Regal: What? Are you saying we won the Draft this year?

Ibushi (nodding): Number one! Yes!

Regal: So you're telling me I have just joined Jim Cornette and Dusty Rhodes as the only Authority figures to preside over a winning Draft for this promotion - and the bloody toerags are still firing me?

Ibushi (shrugging): All...best...future...endeavours!

Fair play MNG, had a feeling you might be winning back that crown. I'm delighted to have done as well as I did, joint second in rosters was a nice surprise.

I've just realised looking at the slammies that I completely misunderstood best double pick and all my votes there went to the final round :pac:

Yeah I went with Mr Guappa, MNG and Kolido for overall tbh.

Write ups were Mr. G, Brad, and MNG

Rosters were Furious Red, Kolido and MNG.

I really liked Furious Red's roster and it's a shame he didn't get finished or he probably would have scored higher for me.

With Kolido, I was surprised his roster didn't get more love as it was stacked with NWO VS The Brood.

I kinda weighted my overall votes of roster & write ups then which scored decently for Kolido imo.

Thought MNG, Brad or Mr. Guappa would win it tbh.

Also I did NOT realise Mr. Guappa had played before :pac: Thought it was his first time out and gave him best newbie with Kolido second - hope you discounted that Joe given Kolido was the only new player. Whoops!

Congratulations MNG, the man to beat again after an amazing 4th title. Great job running everything Joe as well, it's great to see so many peoples feds getting big votes in all categories including the slammies

Wish I didn't leave it so long between my first 2 shows and my second 2 shows, the latter two were rushed and I didn't get to flesh out the second half of some feuds more like Okada's side of the main event. Some feds really had very well developed feuds everything from heel Lou Thesz antics to Heyman bringing back Benoit but MNG deserved it with not only his WONDERFUL House of Hardy match but also Y2J/Omega and more. Like Seeing Becky get the face vote of the year, shows how well written that was. Actually wish I had used my time more wisely with regards reading too as bits like hers deserved not to be read in the middle of reading 5 others shows in one go.
