    Hi,

Anybody out there using an iol.ie e-mail address?

I can receive e-mails on mine, but I cannot send since late February.

If it works for you can you confirm your outbound server.

Getting a Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0E

I restored my PC back to a time when it was working but it made no difference

Sending is to do with your ISP not IOL.ie - diagnose with them.

    Hi,

I have already spent a considerable amount of time on to '3' support.

They say the issue is at my end.

That is why I am just asking is it working for others

Also to inspire confidence they have given me three different answers for the outgoing mail server to use

    mail.iol.ie
    smtp.o2.ie
    smtp.iol.ie

I had the OP's problem, but it fixed itself after about an hour or two.

The outgoing mail goes through your broadband provider - it is only the incoming mail that goes through the BT's pop.iol.ie server.

BT provide support for iol through their Belfast office- and they are very helpful anytime I have needed to call them.

    for reference

There was an issue at '3's end, and it is now resolved

    The correct server is smtp.o2.ie
