Saw one on an antiques show on TV , they are quite rare.
Not sure if they are even made anymore

the wheels on that would probably need to be made from unobtanium.

It would have to be a special order, or you could possibly get one second-hand on E-Bay. They do present quite an engineering challenge, and tend to be high-maintenance - they suffer much bigger stresses than regular bikes or even tandems, and not just in the wheels. And they are a bugger to store and transport.

A quick google throws up a few manufacturers in the US, and also a couple of second-hand listings on E-Bay, also from the US, which might suggest you would need US-standards parts and spares.

A user here had one for sale about 18 months ago and I'm sure another user has one too as I used to see them commuting with their children on my route. If they see this thread, they can advise.

I'm pretty sure that was a Thorn triple and, while not specifically mentioned on their website, I'd say they would happily supply one to your personal specification. They'd also likely be able to put you in touch with other owners of triples...

given that thorn's standard tandem *starts* at approx. double the OP's budget, i suspect the triple will be beyond the pale price wise, if buying new was the only option.

there's no mention of it on their website. the standard tandem starts at STG£3,999.

here's a crowd who do three seaters from $6000 upwards:

maybe contact this bike hire crowd and ask them where they get theirs - they claim on the site that the triplets cost 'up to £2500'.

I suspect I am that user. It was a Thorn "Me'n'U2" triplet (since sold to a man from Edinburgh) so wouldn't carry three adults (i.e. is designed for an adult and two kids). Thorn/SJS cycles do sell an adult triplet though: https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/bikes/thorn-trident-161820-adult-triplet-black-used-frame-new-parts/.

As I've said before, never failed to amuse me in a good way whenever it passed me.

SJS were great to deal with anytime I've had cause to

interesting to note the warnings about braking on descents in the brochure for the bike above. looks like it's about ten years old, based on the date of the brochure?

Jaysus, that could turn into a costly rabbithole to go down too far.
I now 100% need that rasta coloured quad; 4K is a bargain.

I've seen crowdfunding for less worthwhile causes...
